Q: Hello team,

Happy Holiday to you and your families.

In the context of a diversified portfolio, with high risk tolerance, could you compare the following stocks in terms of growth prospects over the next two years?
1 - MacDonald Dettwiler & COM DEV
2 - WEF and HBM
3 - ESP, EXO and SVC

The objective is maximum growth potential.

Thanks for all you do.

Q: Peter and Co.
For a while you favoured Boston Pizza but now you favour A&W. To me they appear to be similar except in size. I have been considering BPF but seeing a local BP close has me wondering if there is something going on that is below my radar. Can you please explain why you now seem to favour A&W and is BPF OK? Thanks in advance and I wish you all and the other members a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Q: I have had a half position in CXI for about a year. Would you be comfortable adding the other half now or should I wait for a pullback? How expensive is this stock on a PE and PEG basis? What is the key catalyst that might drive the price in 2015? Thanks for your comments.

Q: Hi Peter and Team, would you be able to explain the five year low in share price of AHF? Is there something of real concern here? Are insiders or major share holders selling here? Thanks!

Thanks for all your help this past year.

Q: You note in recent news regarding Amaya.
"we advise shareholders to do nothing, unless they have a very big position, and then some caution is warranted. There is not enough information to make a sound decision just yet".

So my question is what would you consider a very big position, is this referring to percentage of a portfolio or cash value of the shares?

Q: Hi Peter and Crew,

Seasons Greeting to all.

Not sure if I am missing something, but the future for K-Bro looks to be very bright. I would imagine their cost of doing business is falling (Nat Gas for running the laundry, Gasoline for delivery fuel). Yet revenues could be steady and climbing. Do you see a dividend hike in the near future ? If your 5i rating was not already close to the ceiling, would this be the sort of change (lower energy costs) that would initiate a raise on the rating scoreboard ?

Q: I see and appreciate that you still find EH attractive at its new price. I was sideswiped on a small position in this stock by the oil patch downturn. I bought for the diversification but did not get it. Such is the stock market! A collapse in Alberta's housing will obviously affect EH. What kind of growth premium is currently in the stock price? Is this now a relatively cheap stock on some other kind of metric?

TIA

Q: Hi 5i,

Wishing Peter, Ryan and everyone at 5i the warmest of holiday cheer.
Thanks for all you do and the great service.

Two quick ones for me...First, can you let me know the expected top and bottom line #'s are expected out of ESL today?

Secondly, can we have your quick thoughts on the acquisition Avigilon made today?

Thanks,

J.

Q: Just wondering what you think of the purchase of ObjectVideo's patents. I think your original thought was that AVO would use cash to make an acquisition. ObjectVideo appears to be a private corp and perhaps not available for acquisition although they would seem to have made a good fit.
Does $80m for patent purchases advance your investment thesis as well as an acquisition?
