Q: Interesting update. How did the VC firm end up with 22%? Was that some sort of dilutive bail out? Just seems odd they would hold 7X the stock that Mgmnt does.

Q: Hi- what is your take on their results? They are indicating a 51% payout ratio on their dividend in 2014. Is it a safe dividend payer and good long term hold in your opinion?
Thanks

Q: Is there a good possibility that Western based companies are subject to a discount simply due to the fact they aren't high on the analysts (mainly in the centre of the universe) radar every day? The big discount is hard to justify but certainly AVO does not seem to grasp the significance of "selling" their story to investors. They diverted attention with the announcement of building purchase this quarter and mismanaged a personnel manner in a recent quarter.

Q: Have been a shareholder of Enercare for a while now and have been rewarded handsomely. While the thesis for buying this stock for the longer term is for the income, it's grown to be a bigger portion of my portfolio. Because of that, I've been devling into their financial statements for any risks to their income.

This is when I found this in their latest annual report -- ECI has said that the annual dividend is $0.72 and their EPS is $0.34, yet their payout ratio given is 80%. Shouldn't it instead be 200%+?

Q: Hi Peter and Team,

I'm curently looking for 1-2 more names to add to my TFSA. I currently hold RRX, BBI, CKE, CXI, AVO, GUD, XTC, SUM, ACB, DHX, and XOP, with RRX and CXI being my largest holdings. I was thinking of adding CCL.B as a diversification into something more consumer based, or KLS. Is that something you would recommend? Or are there any other names? I'm 25 years old and am looking for somewhat aggressive growth.

Thanks

Q: Hello Peter & Co,
I sold KBL in early 2014 for $40 and watched it muddle along for quite a while; in a matter of a few months it moved up to around $50.
It is now way in overbought territory (upper limits of RSI) and with an ROE of around 15% and forward P/E ratio of between 25 and 30 (depending on the data source), the ratio profitability/PE being much lower than 1 (0.5 to 0.6).
Is it too early (or maybe too late) to get back in?
By the way; I own most of your holdings in the Model Portfolio, but because I do not invest in Smoking and Gambling related stocks my returns are slightly lower but still quite respectable. It takes all kinds of people to make a market, right?
Thanks,
Antoine
