Q: Hello team, How good is HCG's deal of acquiring CFF Bank?
Thank you!
Thank you!
Q: Hello all at 5i: With the downtown in the markets would you take a loss on Stantec and put the funds to work in another stock with maybe more upside. If so what stock would you choose.
Thank you

Q: It was noted in many articles that the DGE in New Jersey conducted a very thorough investigation of the Pokerstars acquisition prior to the approval being made:
http://www.pocketfives.com/articles/new-jersey-dge-doing-comprehensive-review-amaya-s-pokerstars-purchase-591396/
I would think this would alleviate most concerns regarding the AMF investigation. The DGE was also able to complete it on a timely basis; how long do you think AMF can drag this out before reaching their own conclusion?

Q: Greetings: Would the NJ gaming commission's review have included any investigation into the insider trading issue: the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement found Amaya’s PokerStars brand to be under "strong, ethical and trusted ownership and management" ... Do the words trusted and ethical ownership and management only apply to past business practices, apart from any illegal stock trading allegations? Thank you.

Q: In your report on HLF it was stated that "there is significant value in
the dividend". What does that statement mean? Thanks Ron

Q: Good Morning Team. Great news about Amaya. I have done very very well in the past (thanks to your guidance) with shaving my AYA holdings (first bought at $6.50) and able to buy another good stock and pay off some bills. I only hold 2.5% at the moment. I have some cash in my TFSA for an opportunity. Could this be it? Or would you suggest slower is better in this case with AYA? Thanks again for all you guys do for us including calming our nerves!!!
Q: Any comments or concerns with the recent downward price moves for Tricon and its announcement that for the time being it will not move ahead with its IPO of TIP? Or is this downturn a buying opportunity? Thanks.
Q: Amaya is in New Jersey - faith in David Baazov (and 5i) has been rewarded!
Q: Hi I have a substantial investment in the banks mainly for income. There has been a lot of articles lately about the threat of fintechs to the Canadian banks. What is you take on this threat. Thanks Mike
Q: Good Morning Peter, pls update on GSY when time allows, would you add to a position here ? thank you, Paul
Q: Hi Peter and Team:
Liquor stores (TSX) is making a a year low, whihc was also repeated in 2008-2009. The yield is 10% as is covered by the cash flow, but only 50% with the earnings. Liquour comsumption is normally seen as secure as people tend to buy liquor in bad times and a lot in good times .
What do you think ??. If I buy it will be a very small part of my portfolio, with the purpose of increasing my average yield and not getting into a risky investment (I already have enough Artis, Superior Plus, REITS and Banks for normal yield with reasonably low risk)
regards
Alex

Q: The selling and lack of buying on this stock seems to be relentless. They have just now closed their convertible debenture. I am wondering if there is some kind of arbitrage going on between the stock and the debenture?
Q: Hi Peter, it seems that AYA is continuing its downward move do you think its going to continue, is there a specific reason, will we see it return to $30.00 anytime. Would you average down at any point and do you still like it for the long term. Thanks
Q: In your August report you thought the stock was interesting at the $33 level. Keeping in mind they own 6 VW dealerships representing 13% of revenue which seems to add an new element of uncertainty. Would you consider it reasonable to add to a small position at today's price.
Many thanks
Mike

Q: In response to Gerald's question about Amaya and New Jersey approval, David's reply during the Q4'14 earnings call on April 1, 2015 was:
"As it relates to New Jersey, I would say that we feel that this is coming. We would expect to receive and launch, I would say, in the next quarter."
David followed up on this in the Q1'15 earnings call on May 14, 2015 with:
"I think we’re still on track from what I said on the last call in terms of New Jersey."
Those statements (in my opinion) in no way guarantee a launch in Q3. Investors seem to have unfortunately taken it as fact though.
