Q: Hi Peter,

I'm calling on your many years of trading expertise for this question.

In 7 days CXR is up 33%. Is that short covering, a dead cat bounce or do you think the stock has bottomed?

In short would you take a full portfolio position on CXR at this point?

Q: Hi,
I have all of the growth portfolio stocks, most of which are held in my tfsa. I understand the risks involved and that it's been a tough year, but I'm hoping over time this portfolio will do very well. I have just added new money for this year's contribution. Which companies would you see as the best opportunities right now. What would be say - your top five.

Could you please comment on RDM Corporation's (RC) earnings release this morning and if there any insights from the conference call? The earnings looked good, but the stock is down 10% this morning.

Q: Thank you for the Tax Loss Bounce Blog. I own CXR and expect a bounce in 2016. I also like CRH. The other one that caught my eye in the blog is CKE. Can you please provide an overview/update on this company. What is leading to its continued decrease while others in the industry hover? How is the balance sheet? Is debt level a concern? Are the assets good? Do you have confidence in management? What is insider ownership? With prolonged low oil prices is this small company a good candidate for a takeout? Many thanks for your excellent service.

Q: Hi Guys,

Can you comment on RFC's latest quarter?

I know there's fear of Alberta exposure, future car sales in Canada and loan losses continuing to increase, but is this company not starting to look incredibly cheap? I'm thinking of initiating a 3% position.

Q: Please help me understand the massive increase in the "Short" position in EITun stock as reported in the Globe and Mail
I assume this change has to do with the Voluntary Redemption offer that is currently being offered.
If so, would you please advise the reasoning behind shorting the stock at this time.

Q: Hi Folks

My question relates to your October 28 response to Paul re: the likelihood of the SPB - CUS combination going through and the need for CUS to pay a big break fee if unsuccessful. In a report by RBC dated Nov 1 on SPB they stated that "We note that Superior Plus is taking full regulatory approval risk and would be liable for a $25 million reverse termination fee if it is unsuccessful in obtaining regulatory approval." So could you please clarify the situation re: the break fee and who pays in event the deal does not go through.

Q: Hello - I try to diversify my portfolio best I can. However one concern I do have is not so much stock, or sector diversification. If I own a Brookfield portfolio of stocks (BEP.UN, BYP.UN, BIP.UN) that makes up 8% of my total portfolio, is it considered being too concentrated because of my weight in the Brookfield group?
