Q: Whatever happened to Automodular? When they were last in the news, they were trying to pivot from auto parts (had just lost the Ford contract) to wind turbine manufacturing. I seem to remember they were left with a sizeable cash pool? With the growing emphasis on wind power, supported by new leadership in the US, are they likely to resurface? The management seemed to be very shareholder-focused.

Rogers had earnings today and stock down around -6% so far.
Been holding for 3yr with the outlook for some growth and stable dividend....however still down -12% and dividend about 3.4%.
What is its outlook going forward? Is it a lost cause?
Would you continue to hold or not?
Could you suggest a suitable replacement in this sector canada or USA with better potential upside and dividend. I own small position in BCE also down, -10%..lol

I have a 2/3 position to match the growth portfolio 3%. I know you are not fans of buying into a dropping stock but with the selloff is $16.50 a good buy price for additional shares. Or should I just hold on. Perhaps the price will settle in further.

Q: I bought REAL at 27. Do i sell and move on. Or is there decent recovery potential. The stock still looks to be good value at the current price. Would you consider averaging down to be a good option if position size will not be too large.

Q: Can you comment on MITK earnings today. Do you like it moving forward?

I currently hold a 3% position in REAL (currently down 25+% since purchase in TFSA). Would a switch to MITK make sense? Which of the two do you prefer today? Or is there other names you would recommend suggest switching to today?

Q: Am I wrong in thinking the Telus International IPO is going to do well after it debuts? It seems to have all the elements of recent hot ipos: artificial intelligence, big-name contracts with Google and Uber, a doubling of revenue in just two years between 2017 and 2019. In fact, it is generating earnings unlike other rapidly growing digital companies like Lightspeed, Dye and Durham, Docebo. Is it a buy in your opinion?

Q: Can you provide me a recommendation for both a growth and conservative (income with a little upside) etf that gets me some international exposure (Non CAD / US markets). I am overweight in CAD and balanced in US. I appreciate that most large companies are ‘global’ regardless of where they are listed so take that into consideration. I am ok owning ETF’s where the holdings seem like US based but in fact they are global CO’s.

Consideration to the MER also please. I hate paying fees!

Q: I have transferred my RRIF account from a broker and I plan to self-mange that account. The cash balance as of today is $290,000. I'm 88 years old so I need strong cash flow and/or capital gains to meet the required annual distribution. Please provide a list of stocks and ETFs that 5i would recommend for that purpose. Thanks for your valued assistance.

Q: I want to increase exposure to foreign equities within my RRSP. I currently have US$ in my RRSP account (in the US$ side of the account), as well as an existing position in XEF:CA (in the CA$ side of the same RRSP account), which I want to increase. I noticed that it is possible to buy XEF in US$ (the ticker is XEF.U:CA). Since I already have US$ within my RRSP, it would seem to make sense to buy XEF.U:CA, using my US$, and then after the trade settles, to "journal-entry" these newly acquired XEF.U shares to the Canadian side of the RRSP account (where presumably they would be re-designated as XEF:CA). My goal is to hold the XEF holding in CA$ for the long term, as I will ultimately dispose of these securities in CA$ when I begin to withdraw funds during retirement. Does this strategy for acquiring more shares of XEF make sense to you? Or is there some downside I am not considering? (The obvious upside is to be able to acquire the new position in XEF, using my existing US$ cash position, without a direct currency conversion expense.)

Q: The shift to EVs has now increased with intensity and resolve. With many governments now mandating this pivot it would seem investments will need to recognize and not fight the trend.
What are the favourable ways left to invest that are not overpriced. I would like your opinion in the many parts of the sector from battery components, assembly, and technology.

Q: Hi 5i Team. Question relates to trading volume on PID. I'm trying to establish a 2 - 4% position in PID for international exposure for both growth and dividends. The 2 - 4% position equates to 5,000 - 10,000 shares. I tried to place an order yesterday for 5,000 shares and only half the position was taken. If I look back at the past 30 days, average trading volume is typically ~<10,000 shares. The one exception was mid December when trading volume was ~75 - 100,000 shares. Should one be worried or concerned about this when trying to establish a position in an ETF with a AUM of ~$140M. Many thanks. Steve

Q: More of a comment to you answer to Paul's questions about PayPal and Visa as I recently asked a questions about the 2 companies, loved your summary, but you missed adding what I would think is something thats a huge growth area for Square and PayPal... Visa not so much... Cash App.

Taken from Square's recent earnings " Cash App delivered strong growth in the third quarter of 2020, generating $2.07 billion of revenue and $385 million of gross profit, which increased 574% and 212% year over year, respectively. Excluding bitcoin, Cash App revenue was $435 million, up 174% year over year"

Bitcoin and stock trading, drives engagement and then those customers tend to use more of the app, as you would know PayPal has Venmo whis is or was the leader in a similar space but Visa wouldnt have anything similar or do they?
