Q: hi, new member, great site, great info. What are your views on Pollard Banknote (PBL). They seem to be on a roll contract wise. Good dividend. Tightly held by founding family. Thx for your thoughts

Q: Hi Peter, I've had 500 shares of Gran Tierra "GTE" since 2009 and my break even is about $5.00 it's gone as high as 6.50 in the past year and seems to be falling back down I was thinking of selling and buying some "CPG" with the same cash it would mean less shares, what's your view on that? Thanks, Nick
Q: Peter,
I recently bought GQC but today it has been hammered pretty bad. Do you think I should add more, sell and take a loss or do nothing. Thanks

Q: Hi,
New member and look forward to working with you. What are your thoughts on DNI-X. I see they are issuing lots of shares lately. Is this not diluting the shares. Thx

Q: ECI is looking cheaper lately. What are your latest thoughts? Buy or hold?
Q: Hi Peter, what is your view on Lorex Technology (Lox.v)? Emerging growth story. 15 consecutive quarters of profitability and recent product launches and geographic expansion that would indicate growth is going to continue at a high rate. Mgmt has consistently outdone their guidance and owns over 20% of shares. Funded growth through internally generated cash and eliminated debt and now has net cash position. Seems dirt cheap relative to Avigilon. thanks.
Q: Relatively new to investing and using direct investing account so asking you: if a US company is a subsidiary of a Canadian company that is a potential take over target, am I to assume that the US stock price will benefit relative to the Canadian company’s stock price? Or should I stick to purchase of the Canadian company?
Q: Hey Peter. Nice job on BNN today.
I'm thinking about taking a position in WEQ.UN. Is there anything I should be concerned about, like debt levels, or specifically look out for in the coming quarterly reports. Thanks again.

Q: Do you have a view on Com Dev CDV T ovr the next year ?
Q: CFX: Canfor Pulp Products. Even with a dividend cut recently would this company still be a good growth , share price, opportunity. Its PE 8.3X is way less than average of 23X EPS $1.03 is 2.5X better than Industry.PB is only 1.5X, Debt to capital is only 21% & ROE is double industry norm. I don't understand why this stock shouldn't be double or more ??
Thanks Ed G

Q: I have a question about Brookfield Renewable
I use the TMXMoney site to check fundamentals of companies. This site shows that the EPS of BEP.UN is -1.83 yet it pays out a dividend of 1.38. I like the yield that BEP.UN offers but am concerned that it can't possibly be sustainable if the company is actually losing money. Am I missing something here? I am looking to invest in companies with decent yield. I don't need any capital appreciation but I don't wish to incur big capital losses either.

Q: How do you rate Badger daylight?
Q: I've been on the fence regarding VSN. Any thoughts?
Q: Not a question, Peter, just congratulations on a great interview on BNN today. Confirms for me yet again that this is the place to be for unbiased, critical research.
Q: Peter,
The gold sector is in the rally mood but OSK is not going up in line with the rest of the market? Is it something to do with the recent change in provincial govt. in Quebec or there is some other reason? Thanks

Q: Hi,
I am wondering about PBH on Toronto. I note that it has been falling lately and is now flirting with the 200 day moving average. I heard a casual remark on BNN which imputed that there were problems with the stock but did not hear the whole thing. Are you aware of any problems with the stock and should I sell before I lose capital. I am already down about $200. The thing is that the date for being a holder to get the September dividend is the 29th and usually there is a fair amount of buying activity a few days before the date but it is not happening this time.
