Q: Hi Team 5I:

As a proponent of the "growing dividend" investment approach, I was thinking of ZDV (BMO CANADIAN DIVIDEND ETF) as a one stop, park it and forget it, purchase for all of my 18 year old child's newly created TFSA with $5,500 in it. Any concerns (other than the fee)? Any suggested alternatives, given the objectives?

Q: Hi Peter, I would appreciate your thoughts on two contract drillers, Major Drilling (MDI.TO) and smaller Geodrill (GEO.TO) Would this be a good time to be buying this type company? This past year has been been brutal for them both and they appear to be good buys. Many Thanks.

Q: Happy New Years.Its TFSA time.Does the 5i team have a portfolio build strategy for a TFSA? how should a stock be purchased in relation to the whole portfolio.as the account size (hopefully) grows,will that affect what is held?

Q: I have a 4% position in silver through SLW. I would like to increase my position now to take advantage of the (sometimes) short term Jan/Feb seasonal pop in silver but also for a longer term hedge against potential inflation. Would you recommend sticking with SLW or diversifying into another stock/vehicle, and if so, what? Any general recommendations on % to be held in a portfolio and do you feel purchase at this time makes sense ?
