Q: Dear Team: I want to buy 1 call option contract for BAC for January 2015 at $15.00 in my TFSA.
Today that would cost about 1.78. I know you only want to do Cdn stocks, so if you do not
want to give an opinion on doing this for BAC do you have a better suggestion which would be
Cdn? I bot your portfolio, and my jaw drops as I watch many of those stocks!! (like CSU or MG or Valeant) Thanks so much for your support. Jean

Q: Hi Peter and 5i: I know you had a recent question on Data Group (DGI) but it was pre-results. With the quarterly numbers in, DGI is trading down about 15% but Data Group paper (DGI.DB.A) is trading up nearly 2% (granted, almost no volume). Who is right? They confirmed the next dividend payment without a cut and, despite posting a loss, it appears that the quarter would have been profitable but for a “restructuring charge.” How does it look in the context of their overall restructuring and retrenching task? Thanks for the re-visit!

Q: Hi Peter,

Niko is back to where it started with all the good news boost completely wiped out. My average cost is pretty high and unfortunately I had amassed a much bigger position against your advice of max 5% allocation in any company. Should I trim/liquidate my position or keep holding on and hope for good exploration results. What would be possible impact of a bad result of exploration considering they have so many other positives recently. Thanks

Q: hi peter, so automodular released their quarterly report aug.6 with a long detail on the state of their business, the dividend is safe for now, they have a 1.55 in cash, stock is selling for 1.81, would you buy it here or is this company dead at the end of 2014. dave

I bought some HCG at around 53 while the hedge fund managers were shorting this stock
It has recovered nicely and today, it went up again nicely

Where do one find the volume of short positions on this stock?
I made a nice profit, I am tempted to exit or the momentum of HCG is real? pays a small dividend too! Thanks for recommending this stock!

Q: re Saad question
My wife entered the market for the first time in march 2009 with a full service broker.
A performance review lately showed a profit of 16%, not per year, for the entire period. The broker was VERY proud of the performance...
I have been looking for a broker for the better part of the past 15 years for my own portfolio, fired one and WAS fired by another one, gave up and manage everything myself. Peter entry in the retail investor world void of real/unbised information has been a breath of fresh air and provide a much needed support. But I think I still have to do my homework.
