Q: Hi Peter and others,

I am thinking of adding some banks to my portfolio. Do you see an advantage (and would advise) a fund approach (example: the BMO offering of ZEB-T (equal weight Canadian Banks) vs. a purchase of the same amount divided up at 20% each of the 5 major banks. I am looking for both income and growth (a greed thing I guess - tee hee).

Thanks for your answer and thanks for the great "and especially unbiased" service

Q: Hi Peter & 5i: Since closing at $6.15 on July 5th, Just Energy (JE) has closed higher than the previous trading day’s close every day through yesterday, and now may be pausing at around $7.50. The move doesn’t seem to have been fueled by any news that I have noticed. Could it be primarily a short-covering rally?

Q: For excellent service, thank you more than you can imagine!
AOI and PPY: African Oil and Painted Pony. Do you still like them here, and do you prefer one over the other, or a half position in each? I realize there is sector risk, as well as political and drilling risk.

Q: Both Pref Share etf's and High Yield Bond etf's dropped in price a lot in the last month with expectations of interest rate rises; but the High Yield Bond etf's have recovered nicely in the last week, while Pref share etf's are still down. Is there a reason for the High Yield Bonds significantly outperforming Prefs recently? What do you see going forward?

Q: Peter and Team,

Any thoughts on Arsenal Energy AEI following the well results they released yesterday? Extrapolating the declines on the wells still seems to leave them a decent bump in production (relatively).

Thanks.
