Q: Hi Peter: I generally just read the answers to questions that others ask and have found your responses very helpful. However, today I would like to ask about ala. I'm not quite sure whether it is regard as a utility or an energy infrastructure entity. I know their activities to some extent fall into both camps, but where would you put the company in this regard. I don't believe it is significantly affected by the price oil (although it may be by gas prices) but it is obviously falling in sympathy with oil.

Q: IPL down quite a bit today. Is there news or is it oil price related? what is the relationship between pipelines and oil price? I would have thought that pipelines make money moving oil and if the price of oil is down, then wouldn't more oil (or at least the same amount) of oil move? Or is the fear that some projects have/will be cancelled because of the low oil prices?
Hoping your can clear this up for me (and likely others). Thanks.
Paul F.

Q: Hello,
I have some Northland Power NPI which you had been positive on, though a few days ago you suggested a switch to AQN. Has your positive feeling changed? Should I consider buying more since it is down now? Why the drop when other utilities seem okay?
Thanks very much

Q: Hi,
ITP has dropped about 5% this morning. I don't see news. Beyond the vagaries of the market, do you have any idea why this might be so?
Thanks in advance. AF

Q: What do you think of buying a 5% position in FFH as a hedge against shocks to the market? It seems to be negatively correlated with the general market. Also what do you make of its recent significant rise?
Thank you for your advice.
Thank you for your advice.
Q: Could you comment on Direct Cash. Yield is 8% and it has moved up nicely recently and I am thinking of taking a position.

Q: How important is the acquisition of Studon to sox, can they really afford it, and will this make them a great company. Is this a great company to invest in for a 3-5 year period or are their better choices at this time? I already own a lot of energy and gold companies. Thank you for your help. Always really appreciated.
Q: why did Enbridge ENB share rise by more than $5 today
Q: Hello 5i team,
Was very surprised to not find any comments/questions in the forum on ENB after a 10.53% jump in share value today.
I have read about the increased div as a result of the massive restructuring plan in place. Is there any other reasons you know of for the jump? And with this increase, my portfolio allocation has risen to 6% - would you recommend a trim?
Thanks for all you do
Gord
