Q: Hi Peter, new to your service and really finding it informative. I've been looking for an opportunity to buy Points International (PTS) all summer, their quarter looked solid to me, is this sell off a good chance as a long-term entry point?

My question is about Avigilon (AVO- TSX). At first I could not understand why it was rated B+. It seemed so extremely expensive. Now I fully understand. I have learned from 5i Research that the great growth companies almost never get cheap. From your vast experience how do you think the AVO story will play out over the next 3-5 years ??? Thank you. Q: 5i Team,

Portfolio management question. I think most investors here have a TFSA, RSP and Self Directed Cash Accounts (US & CDN).

Where would you try to position the following type of companies:

1. Small Cap / growth stocks
2. Mid / Large Cap - No dividends
3. Mid / Large Cap - dividend payer

I'm thinking, small caps in TFSA, buit not sure about the others... what type of companies should go in the RSP vs. Cdn/US cash accounts if given a blank slate?

Q: Good morning Peter & Co.
Pacific Rubiales (PRE) released its Q3 results today and the stock is getting hammered. It is down close to 10% in the last five days. The Q3 results look fine to me. What am I missing?

Q: Peter and Team,

Corby Distilleries report earnings yesterday and things looked pretty good. They increased the dividend as well. Any thoughts on their earnings and path forward? Also, they've done a special dividend around this time of year the past two years, any thoughts on if they might do one this year based on their financials?

All in all, this looks "steady as she goes" to me.

Q: Hello Team

I'm looking to buy some shares of las.a. Is it a strong buy at these levels? Are there any risks in there business that could hamper the stock value? Also is it better to put a bid in at the bid price or just pay the ask? As it seems to be very thin on the trading.
