Q: Hello
several years ago I (like many others) was blindsided by the Harper Gov't. when they flipped on their promise of taxation on Income Trusts. I can't help but wonder about future government taxation changes to Reits, with more and more corporations spinning out their realty holdings. Would appreciate your thoughts.
Thank you

Q: Hi Peter and Gang,
My question is with regards to LIQ. I bought it back in May after reading your report. At the time the stock was rated a B-and was around $18. I bought some more when it dropped to $16 in August. I see today it is already touching $15. Is there any more information regarding this company that would cause it to be having so much negative pressure? Would you still maintain your B- rating? Would you recommend additional purchases, hold or sell? Thanks

Q: Hi team:
I have some XTR in my RRSP as part of the income portfolio
I came across CBD, ishares Balanced Inc core portfolio;
it has some exposure to US and Cdn equity and about 40% in fixed income, morning star gave it a 4 star rating
What do you think of putting 1/3 of my RRSP in CBD and 2/3 in XTR ?
Thanks!

Q: I'm usually looking for good dividend stocks for an income portfolio. I'm now considering a small (speculative) position in a new and very interesting technology, 3D printing. It started in plastics and is now moving into metals. I'm starting to agree that' it's going to be a real game changer. Are you following any stocks in this area, are there some strong leaders to consider investing in? With anything new I'm sure there's lots that are more fluff than substance.

Q: I have a question about RDM Corp (RC). You rate it C which is not a buy recommendation, but your comments are very favorable and seem to recommend it a buy.
Appreciate your thoughts.
Thanks John

Q: re. Athabasca Minerals (ABM-V)

Stock has been on a tear for the past few days. Is this just speculation, or do you have any info confirming that the frac sand project has been approved?

Thanks, as usual, for your insights. You do a marvelous job.

Q: HI Team, Sorry to ask 2 questions in 1 day on BXE. However, the stock was halted and still it. Three pieces of news. The new JV, a new financing at $8.00,(which i dont like) and the purchase of Angle Energy. I would like your view on these issues. Thanks,

Q: This is more of a followup to the question about selling in view of the mess in the US right now. I am also up allot due in part to your great advise. I did bite the bullet and sold to protect my gains. My reasoning is that the potential upside is far less than the potential downside. I would rather be a scared chicken than a dead duck at this point. Something to think about.

Q: Hello Pieter; I currently have approx. 5,500 in my TFSA to invest for a 3-5 year hold. I had previously invested in REITS & though I still believe in the REIT space, I am looking to invest in stocks that would provide more steady growth and dividend increases over time. I have selected several such as: BYD.UN, HCG, BAD, STN & MG as possible candidates. Can you please suggest the top 2 that you see as having the highest potential for continued appreciation and dividend increases. I currently hold small positions in the following: AW.UN (26% of total), CGX (19%), DH (24%), FRU (14%) & IPL (17%). Thanks for your help.
