Q: Hello
Can PHYS, GLCC, GDXY and XGD be held in TFSA/RRSP accounts?
Is this collection a good mix?
Would AMAX be a better option than some of the aforementioned and if so, which would you replace with AMAX / drop completely.
Thank you.
Q: Hi
Where do you see gold going from here, continues higher ? .....and how would play it in the current environment...
What would be your 3 best gold plays at the moment.
Finally how would you view GLCC for some capital gain and income. Also why is GLCC dropping today. ?
thx
Q: Hi folks. I bought AEM and GLCC as hedges against market turmoil, but they are falling like everything else. Are quality gold stocks no longer a safe (relatively) haven?
Q: Just few more covered call gold ETF questions and I promise to stop flogging this horse and make a decision ..... Of the five ETF's 5i recommended { AMAX, CGXF,BASE,GLCC,GDXY } Could 5i give me the return, unit price gain/loss plus dividends for each ETF as a percentage ? .... As both AMAX and GDXY have only been around a year just go back for that period of time for each one. This will be long enough for me to assess as I am looking for gold volatility pre and post Trump's election.....
I notice all have an upward trend except GDXY. Could 5i speculate on the reason why ? Of course the question is does that 32.5% dividend more than make up for it ? I should be able to see that by your evaluations of returns for the other ETF's in comparison ......
And finally, hypothetically, if 5i were forced to choose one or two of these to " hide " in while assessing just exactly how bad Trump is going to make things for Canada . Which would be your two favorites, first and second, and why ? ...... Thanks for your terrific service ..... Garth .....
Q: Thank you for your list of available covered call ETF's . A bit to unpack here . Could 5i give me some assistance doing it ? .....
The current Yield of each ?
The structure of each ? .... { for example part of your answer was " GDXY may be of interest. " I'm assuming some leverage here as the yield shown in TD Waterhouse is 29% . How much leverage ? And what is the structure of this and the other ETF's ? }
The risk profile of each ? ...... { for example on the Yieldmax website they outright tell you GDXY is high risk . I would like to know why and what that risk is ? And a similar assessment for each ETF recommended ? }
Also if 5i were going to hide in some high yield covered call gold ETF's until after April 2/25 { tariff day } and likely longer as I'm convinced it isn't going to be a good year for Canada. Put a numerical value for each ETF listed from one to ten with one being most favored and ten being least favored and why ?
Also if there are any tax consequences inside a RRIF ?
Q: I hold the following High dividend players: CALL, DGS, GLCC, HDIV, HMAX, HPYT, QQCC and QQQY. Can you please rate these as safest and best for growth. I am down on HMAX, HPYT and QQQY. I hold so many as I am leery to place all dollars on one player. Or are there some I should sell.
Asked this question earlier but did not see a reply.
Just wondering if, in a rising gold price environment, would a covered call ETF benefit from increased call option premium income? And, if so, would this offset the increased risk of missing capital appreciation as a result of the underlying security being called away?
Q: I think my question was more related to, do you agree that GLCC was so much better than AEM.

Q: Is there a bond crash coming because of high government debt, particularly in the US? How do you see gold and energy markets performing in that kind of environment and are short term bonds even worth the risk? Or is this fear all over done and we just live with debt levels far beyond our ability to ever repay them?
Q: All different holdings, but what would be your order of preference (based on expected total return) with the next 12 months in mind. Thanks as always, great service.
Q: I am currently somewhat overweight bank and gold stocks. Would these covered call funds be complimentary or simply increase sector exposure even more?
It's very hard to ignore the 11% yield with GLCC and BANK for an income seeking investor.
Why is ZWB 7% while BANK is 11%
Q: 58 year old seeking yield. Want at least 5% and general "safety" but respecting nothing is 100% safe in equities. Thoughts on GLCC as a way to play gold ?
