Q: I have been able to top up my TFSA accounts and now find I am sitting on about 40K in USD. I am looking for growth, preferably with a dividend, in a well managed and reliable company, or companies. I'm overweight in Tech & Utilities, OK in Finance, low in Energy, underweight in Industrial. A quick look at the US sectors has given me the feeling that now isn't the time to start with Staples, Health Care or Utilities and that there seems to be caution with respect to Energy. Materials and possibly Industrials, which has puzzled me, as I would think China reopening and the US's infrastructure spending would have helped the last three sectors mentioned. I welcome your thoughts, and any suggestions, as they are usually very insightful!

Q: My MO is to look at positive-earnings and earnings-growth stocks with price momentum in the past year that seem to be temporarily stalling in the previous month.
Any thoughts on TH, VIPS, or BTU?

Q: I see CSU plans to spin out another company on a roughly 3 for 1 basis. I previously received an odd lot of TOI which I bumped up to an even 100 shares (much less than a full position for me). I'd appreciate your thoughts on how an investor (who does not need cash for the foreseeable future) might want to handle this group of companies. Is there any reason to keep them all?
Thanks in advance...

Q: Hi, The press release from Constellation Software, Today, confirmed filing of prospectus and spin-out date/payment of a special dividend-in-kind of 3.0003833 Lumine Group subordinate voting shares, for each common share of CSU held as of the record date Feb 16, 2023. Payment of dividend is expected to be on or about Feb 23, 2023. Lumine Group common shares will be listed on TSX Venture Exchange and are expected to start trading 30 days after completion of the acquisition of WideOrbit.
Based on the information available publicly as well as in the prospectus about WideOrbit and Lumine Group, with respect to their combined revenue/income and expected growth, what would be a reasonable multiple and intrinsic value of the newly listed company's shares. Also, in your view, what could be the initial trading range of the stock ?
What will be total number of o/s shares and % of new co. CSU will own after the spin out ?
Do you think, Lumine could be another growth stock to own like Topicus, another mini- Constellation Software ?
Thank You

Q: Hi there,
I recently added a position in LAC based on your suggestion. The stock seems to be moving higher on today's news regarding Thacker Pass. Can you please elaborate on what the statement means - explain like I'm 5 (ELI5)?

Q: Could I get your take on these two?
Q: Hi team,
Last TOI earnings were alot about making shareholders rich in the spin off. It practically had brought the company down from making money to unprofitable. Since then I have seen zero effort to gain analysts of any sort. In my mind CSU is using the spin off to make currret CSU shareholders rich. Why should I stay invested in TOI?

Q: There has been incredible volatility in the markets with indexes and stocks bouncing up and down for last 3 years making investing in stacks and bonds difficult. There has been no really true safe escape haven in equities or bonds apart of cash and money markets and recently Guaranteed income securities. Considering all these factors influencing the markets today would you venture your opinion when we could reach some market stability ?
