Just looking for your insight into CFN's earnings. I have held since $5.00 - enjoy the yield on my cost, but I really want to make sure the capital is safe. Is it time to move on from this story?

A follow up on the previous question about BAD's earnings. The discussion around the deferred unit costs affecting the results so much seems bizarre to me. Is this something to be concerned about... something "bad"? Considering the past 90 days, it looks like the story is still well in tact going forward, long term. Do you have any concerns for the future given the developments in the earnings today? It seems like the reduction in margins should have been passed on to the customer... again, is this bad? Does this mean they will experience margin errosion?

Q: Mnw ... New 91M bought deal ... With existing cash and this deal.. Whsup... Does this make this stock more exciting and attractive as a BUY

Twin Butte Energy shares dropped today. Would you consider this to be an opportunity to buy. With a share drop today, the dividend increased to 9.9% which they say is sustainable.

Q: WEQ WesternOne came out with their earnings. I thought they looked pretty good but wish to defer to someone better at the judging than me! What do you think of them?

Q: I currently hold AVO in an RRSP account and am down about 30%. If I had a positive outlook on the company would it make sense to sell them and purchase them back in a TSFA or margin account? My trading costs are only $5.00 per trade.

Q: I recently received some money and I want to closely mimic your income portfolio in a taxable account.I was thinking of taking some of the weighting of the financials and buying FTN.I realize there is some added risk but it suits my investment style and I like the US exposure to banks.The dividend is also attractive I must admit.From your past comments you are not really excited about it.Also the bond portion of the portfolio are you still happy with the 7% weightings.

Q: I have about $50,000.00 US which I am looking to use to purchase 3-4 US stocks in a non-registered (taxable)account. I am happy to hold long term. Q: ENTREC Corporation (ENT).
When I saw the results just released I was disappointed particularly with the comment that “higher revenue in the first quarter this year was offset by a lower adjusted EBITDA margin of 17.3%, compared to 26.0% in Q1 last year.” and "In the short term, we expect the reduced activity levels to continue into the second quarter of 2014 and that our equipment utilization levels will remain lower than last year.”
However the market appears to like the results and shares are up today.
Would appreciate your thoughts on this.

Q: ASG - Aurora Spine

I have a small potion in ASG and continue watching while the company gets it "ducks in a row."

May 9 announced the appointment of Doug Johnson as Regional Vice President of Sales for the Eastern United States. Mr. Johnson has served in management roles for various spine and orthopedic companies such as TranS1, Pioneer Surgical Technology and SomnoMed Inc. and has over 15 years of sales experience. Appears this was a good hire and another step towards generating increased sales and exposure.

Mid April saw share prices rise to $4.91 and have since dropped back down to $3.50 - close to it's lowest this year.

I expected this would be a long road for Aurora - especially considering the sector. Is there any other news you have heard? Would you buy at these low levels?

Q: AYA has been soft the last few days. They announced that they are reporting Q1 on May 15. If you look at the chart for the week before Q4/FYE was recently announced, in hindsight, it appears that a "few" people knew the quarter was going to be soft. Would your long-term thesis change if AYA missed analyst expectations this quarter and do you think (without having a crystal ball) that based on the price action, although on low volume, investors are anticipating a repeat? What are your thoughts on the weakness?

Q: I hope this double dividend question qualifies as minimal. When could we expect a dividend increase from tcn. I have held for a year and a half and would have thought we would have had an increase by now. When do you think aya might introduce a dividend. Mike
