Q: Now Progressive Waste Solution is trading under the symbol WCN, will you be changing the company database symbol from "BIN" to "WCN" in the future? Or should we continue to search under "BIN" and "WCN"? As a side note, would you add WCN to the company database. Thank you.

What will be total purchase price, Constellation needs to pay @105 pence for remaining Bond International shares, if a formal offer is made? Also, do you believe, this acquisition will add good value to Constellation Software ? Thanks

Q: I hold this REIT and was most please at the jump when the sale was announced. The sale price is 7.25. The price went up to 7.03 and I assumed that since the deal probably has little risk and it closes relatively quickly, I decided to wait since I saw NO real downside risk. The price then dropped. Is there a risk that I am not seeing?

Q: With the upcoming new classification of Real Estate being formed out of the Financials under the GICS is there a best way to play this? A single REIT or just pick up an ETF? I've read numbers as high as 100 billion could pour into REITs as a result - what kind of spike in valuations will this cause or is some of this already priced in?

Q: I have a few hundred shares of cyh and zwe which makes up about 8% of my portfolio. Would you recommend reducing this exposure until the Brexit issue is resolved in June? If so,what percentage might you recommend,if at all? Thank you.

Q: 'We’re in a bubble': Record home sales in Toronto and Vancouver intensify fears of overheating.
This is all I have been reading for the past few weeks, coupled with bank CEO's stating that Ottawa should be taking necessary steps to regulate mortgages.
I cannot but think back while visiting in Florida 8 years ago, it was evidenced the very same concerns, a massive real estate bubble, I for one could not believe the construction real estate growth that was happening.
Within two years the bubble did break, and although mtge backed securities caused the massive financial problems the US continues to struggle.
My question is "should real estate collapses in Vancouver and Toronto, will this not create a major recession". What is 5i opinion going forward. As investors should we be taking the necessary steps to put some protection on.

Q: Hi 5i, I have been slowly adding to my portfolio. So far it is all held in a TFSA with long term in mind. The listed companies are the current holdings (I don't know weighted percents off hand). Can you please recommend maybe 2-3 other companies or funds that would help to round out my portfolio? I plan to make regular contributions for the long term. All available DRIP's are being utilized as well to further growth. Do you see any current major issues with the current holdings?

Q: I have a balanced portfolio which includes a little more than a half position in QSR, but this stock seems to be somewhat range-bound. Given recent events at MTY, do you think a move from QSR to MTY would be wise, even after the run-up of MTY?

Q: My number one worry about investing and retirement is my wife's defined pension at the University of Toronto. It's too good to be true. Here it is: she started working there at 30 years old and now she's 34. Every months, she puts 400$ into that pension and the university puts 200$. At 62, she will get for the rest of her life an amount equal to the highest salary she has made there. Right now, that would be 80k. How can a pension afford this?! At 62, she will have contributed 230k and with a 6% return, the pension will have grown it to 700k by the time she retires. Not nearly enough to pay her 80k a year for the rest of her life! Now here is a RED FLAG: Last year, they reduced by 50% how much the university contributes to it. Before, they used to match her contribution by 100%. Someone messed up. Can we trust this plan? Can you see how the pension can make those numbers work?

Q: Can you recommend what % of my overall investment portfolio should be kept in a cash account? Right now my cash reserve is around 35%.

Q: Hello. In the summer of 2014 I owed 5 oil stocks (PEY, VET, MEG, BTE and SGY) but saw the oil market changing and a year or so later I owed only one (White Cap). I was happy but maybe a little too pleased with myself because I was slow to recognize oil’s bottoming and have missed out. I still own WCP and am looking for 2 or 3 oil ideas to compliment it. I think the companies that have bought assets during this downtown will ultimately be the winners but really my only criteria is that these ideas should be decently liquid names. Thank you
