Q: Can you explain more about CSU conference call and Q2 results? For a previous question on CSU you told that Revenue Estimate at $510 million and EBITDA @ 131 million (I am assuming these are CAD though wrongly printed as USD). However you later said EPS missed estimates by 50c. I felt this is a big miss. You also said stock may be week. However today CSU went up. Can you explain. I came out of my CSU position today and want to know if I have to re enter. If not can you suggest a better stock than CSU in tech sector?

Q: Okay I did put the symbols for the companies in the proper place--just didn't use capitals--thought you might b able to answer. Anyway, for the 4th time what do you think of these companies? Thank you

Q: What I see from the last several quarters is a company that will not grow as fast as it did in previous years. Nevertheless, with revenue and originations up, moderate EPS should eventually appear. The company has a very low P/E, low payout ratio, rising dividends and decreasing share count. Is this morning's sell-off not a buying oportunity?
Are investors simply too fearful of the name to even look at the numbers and see some value? Or perhaps I am missing something here?

Q: Preferred shares and fixed income

Hi 5i team : I own only common stocks in my portfolio and since I am a mature person that is near retirement, I have the feeling that my exposure to common stocks is very high. So far, to mitigate my risk, I keep daily of the market changes, so I do not get caught in a drastic downturn.
To get more protection, I have thought in buying some preferred shares , but I know nothing about them to start a position.
Are the P.S. a good way to go ?, if so, what should I learn about them and how (references, books, etc), also what would be a reasonable percentage of my portfolio to have in P.S.?
thanks for your help

Q: I have a position in both TCW and CFW, which both are Well services. They had been rising nicely until a few weeks ago, but are currently on a downward slope. Is it time to bail out, or do you think they will rebound soon?

Thanks for your prompt advice!
