Q: Pembina is up around 4% with decent volume this morning. Any reason for this?

Q: I would appreciate your opinion on this company.
Is it a "buy" at this low price?
Could it be a target for a takeover by another company?
Thank you.

Q: Both Concordia and Valeant are down 8.5 and 10% respectively at the moment. Is this due to normal volatility or any consequence of the TPP deal? Would you consider either a bargain over the next three years and which one would you prefer?
Thank you.
Thank you.
Q: Hello, I currently have about 2.3 million in stocks and rrsp mutual funds. I am 56, retired and seem to be doing ok. I'm spending a lot less than when I was working. :)
I am possibly selling my home and have already purchased a home in Florida, spending summers in Canada. I'm clearing about a million dollars. Very tempted to put it all in oil stocks such as surge, wcp, rrx as I think these will be huge gainers once the oil market and overall market starts to cycle back into better waters.
What would you do? I won't need the money for 2 years. I'd like to get a substantial return of course and feel nows a great time. What are your thoughts?
Dave

Q: How do you think the TTP agreement will affect MG and LNR? Are they a sell or hold?
Thanks, really enjoy your service!

Q: Hello Peter & Co,
A follow-up on my previous question regarding your ranking of my holdings CRH,CXR,GUD,PHM,PLI,RX and VRX; you ranked GUD,CXR and VRX as the best by a wide margin and that PLI is good but expensive; you did not comment on or ranked CRH, PHM and RX
Thanks,
Antoine

Q: Hi,
Has the dividend on VDU gone down a lot? I'm sure when I looked at it a few months ago it was about 4% and now it is under 2%. What would account for this change?
Best,
Carla

Q: Hello Peter,
Loads of insider buying in this company by directors and a foreign holding firm (would not try to pronounce the name of the firm). Think a buyout is in the works?

Q: Peter, with new governments seemingly trying to get rid of coal, how will that effect generators such as Northland Power or Capital power? One better than the other? Any other generators that will be effected? Thanks Ken
Q: Like everyone else I have to have some US exposure to my portfolio as it is the dominant market. I know you don't deal heavily with US stocks, but you have a lot more access and knowledge than I have. Could you give me a brief opinion of these 5 US stocks. #1 VICM (VIMICRO); #2 - SRPT (SAREPTA); #3 - MOH (MOLINA); #4 SWKS (SKYORKS); #5 SIMO (SILICON). Some I own and some I am considering buying. Thanks for your great service. Dennis
Q: May I have your thoughts on MYR Group?
Thanks
Thanks
Q: After holding Brookfield Renew Energy (BEP) for a number of years and having a nice profit I sold my holding in a taxable account. My main reason is that it caused me problems every year when filing my CRA returns. I would like to replace BEP with another utility. I am considering Enbridge, Fortis, Algonquin, and Emera, or ??? Please provide me your best suggestion(s).
Thanks and kindest regards. Gord

Q: Hi 5i team,
I was fortunate enough to have sold some of my winners earlier this year in my cash account, so need to take some of the losers off the table. I'm pretty sure I'll sell AHF and CHW (I've been disappointed with these for quite some time).
I'd like your advice as to which of these should go (please list the ones you feel strongly about not keeping first). Choices are: ACQ, AVO, CXI, DHX.B, FCU, IT, MDA, SYZ, TD and TOU. Also, do you think I "should" pick up any of these at a later time?
Thanks for the amazing service!

Q: What do you think about the patent deal just announced. Would it be good for CPH in terms of share price? Would you buy into this news?
Q: Hi, I hold DIV and AD for some time but have been intrigued with the stagnant share prices towards the low end of the range, for past several months. Alaris has glowing reports from analysts with price targets between $35-$40. The overhang is a CRA dispute and problem with an investment. For Diversified Royalty, now there are 3 steady revenue streams with recent deals with Sutton and Mr Lube. Still price is stuck in $2.55-$2.60 range, despite a high of $3.10, a few months ago. The yield for DIV is almost 8%, now. I am at a loss to understand, what is ailing these companies. Do you see any catalysts, which could lift the share prices in near term? I like predictable income stream but would rather allocate this capital to companies with more visible growth and income potential like BYD.un, SJ, PKI and CCL.b (I own all but could add). Thank You for your valued analysis.
Q: Hi, cos has an offer in today from another company. I have a substantial amount of cos. Is this offer a good thing or a bad thing? Will I make money or loose more?

Q: Just a comment and possible explanation on Sylvia's question this morning. If the symbol for Concordia was indeed entered as CRX, there was only one prior question. If however, the symbol was entered as CXR, then all previous questions and answers are found.

Q: May I have your thoughts on Algoma? The stock has been weak recently possibly due to general market weakness or possibly due to problems with the delivery of latest self-unloaders. I know the company puts you to sleep but if you wouldn't mind unloading on the unloaders I would appreciate it.
Thanks
Thanks
Q: Can you compare expected earnings growth rates between IT and AYA for me? And compare their valuations? Thank you.
Q: Hi there
Very much enjoy your service. I was going to add one more REIT to my portfolio to bring it up to 9% weighting. I was looking at Killam versus Pure Industrial knowing they are in very different sectors - apartments in Canada (Killam) versus Industrial in the Canada and the US (Pure Industrial). I need some guidance as to the stability of earnings going forward, the adequacy of the payour ratio looking ahead, and any possible likelihood of dividend increases. Both have dropped lately so don't know if that is a sector thing or other factors. Mainly looking at long term income here.
Much thanks
Stuart
