Q: Rsi is currently taking over LBMaple Treat and as a result is offering common shares at 5.90 and a debenture at 5 percent. For a riff account that is interested capital preservation over growth and a good income what do you think of these 2 offerings? Do you prefer one over the other, and do you think this is a good acquisition of the company. Lastly, how vulnerable is RSI stock price in a recession or higher interest rates-I guess I am asking what are the risks.
Thank you.

Q: The company is proposing a Capital Reduction in order to be able to maintain the current .09 quarterly dividend, of $100 million.Canada Business Corp Act states a corp shall not declare or pay a div " if there are reasonable grounds for believing that the realisable value of the corp's assets would thereby be less than the aggregate of its liabilities & stated capital"

In layman's language, can you explain what Rogers is proposing here, where the $100 M will be going and if you feel, as the company states, this is a positive move for shareholders?

Q: Good morning, I am very interested in purchasing shares of Rogers Sugar Inc. They have a good dividend yield and a relatively low PE ratio. I am worried that the stock has had a good run over the last 12 months and may be time for a pull back and if the dividend is sustainable. Your thoughts on this company would be greatly appreciated.

Q: Can you please comment on Rogers Sugar's latest earnings release? It appears to have beaten expectations, in part to lower costs. Do the latest results suggest Rogers' stock is due for a prolonged upward movement in the coming quarters, and what do you think of the safety of the dividend at this point?
Many thanks,
Brian
