Q: How do you feel about these two names as income stocks with a small amount of growth? In a market correction they should stand up half decently?

Q: I have decided to pay off my mortgage, primarily because I think I have had a good run with equity returns outperforming by a good margin the cost of carrying my mortgage. Although I am not concerned about a large correction I think the risk return is swinging a bit more towards paying off the 2.79% mortgage. I will likely sell 3 or 4 of the following to do so: bbd, mal, pza, rsi, rus, tpk, wjx, dht. Please rank in order in which you would sell the companies listed, you can assume none will adversely affect my current asset allocation. I realize it is quite a mixed bag...but they are some of the ones I hold that aren't in your balanced portfolio so kills 2 birds by getting them out of my current holdings...
Q: I am 68 years old and like a good dividend so would be interested to know how how you feel about Rogers Sugar.

Q: Hello Fab 5i Team! I am fast becoming a Yield Hog like Mr. Heinzel, so looking at putting some $ into 1 of these 2. Which do you prefer and why?
Many Thanks!

Q: What is your opinion about the new acquisition by Rogers Sugar? They issuing stocks and convertible bond to finance the acquisition for an income oriented investor what would be better to participated on the stock deal or the debt deal?
Q: Rsi is currently taking over LBMaple Treat and as a result is offering common shares at 5.90 and a debenture at 5 percent. For a riff account that is interested capital preservation over growth and a good income what do you think of these 2 offerings? Do you prefer one over the other, and do you think this is a good acquisition of the company. Lastly, how vulnerable is RSI stock price in a recession or higher interest rates-I guess I am asking what are the risks.
Thank you.
Maggie

Q: The company is proposing a Capital Reduction in order to be able to maintain the current .09 quarterly dividend, of $100 million.Canada Business Corp Act states a corp shall not declare or pay a div " if there are reasonable grounds for believing that the realisable value of the corp's assets would thereby be less than the aggregate of its liabilities & stated capital"
In layman's language, can you explain what Rogers is proposing here, where the $100 M will be going and if you feel, as the company states, this is a positive move for shareholders?

Q: Good morning, I am very interested in purchasing shares of Rogers Sugar Inc. They have a good dividend yield and a relatively low PE ratio. I am worried that the stock has had a good run over the last 12 months and may be time for a pull back and if the dividend is sustainable. Your thoughts on this company would be greatly appreciated.
Q: I recently took a 1/2 position in Rogers Sugar and would like your take on their earnings just announced after the close today. Would it be a good time to complete the position, as it is still off its recent highs?
Many thanks for the great service. Don

Q: Can you please comment on Rogers Sugar's latest earnings release? It appears to have beaten expectations, in part to lower costs. Do the latest results suggest Rogers' stock is due for a prolonged upward movement in the coming quarters, and what do you think of the safety of the dividend at this point?
Many thanks,
Brian
