Q: I am a long term holder of SU - Suncor. It has not done much over the last few years and with Canadian oil prices so low, and not looking like they will rebound unless a pipeline is approved, is it time to get out of SU and into something outside of Canada that gets world price for oil - such as PMG or Ithaca or Husky or something else? Your thoughts.

Q: Hi Peter and Team, follow-up to STO question. If you recommend selling STO into strength, then I was thinking of using some of the proceeds to averaging down with the cash, into Pinecrest, PRY? Yes/No? Average cost of PRY is about 2.50. Any further thoughts on PRY, and why its share price continues to drop still? They received an easy 12.5M from STO!
Thanks, Hussein

Q: Hi Peter and Team, all the best to everyone in 2013. Thanks for the great service in 2012 from you and your team. Finally, someone honest, helping the honest little guy/gal!
Regarding Spartan, STO...what to do here? Sell into strength or go with Bonterra, BNE? If go with BNE, then your thoughts and insight on BNE would be greatly appreciated.
Any thoughts/information on Obernorf Entities aquiring so many shares of STO?
Thanks, Hussein

Q: Do you have any knowledge and input you can provide on Petrolia Inc (CVE:PEA)? Their web site can be found at http://www.petroliagaz.com/index_en.php. They are a small oil and gaz company, drilling for oil in Quebec. They hold a large number of licenses, access to quite a bit of land and have an influential investor (the Caisse de depot) on their side. They are supposedly getting closer to the production of oil. The stock is down quite a bit since its recent high. Any comments, something to consider,...or is this probably a pure gamble at this time? Thanks.
Q: What do you think of PGF at this price level as well as the sale of the 10% portion of Weyburn to cover debt and finance its Lindbergh project? Thanks
Q: Can you see any significance in Legacy Oil + Gas's (LEG) move today? It seems out of step with its peers on this one. Thanks.
Q: If you where going to give CPG a ranking what would you give it. I see you seemed to like it with the response to some previous questions. I see it was done today, has anything happened that would change your general opinion?
thanks
thanks

The Globe and Mail reports in its Thursday, Jan. 3, edition that CIBC World Markets analyst Adam Gill is keen on Argent Energy Trust ($9.24 (Canadian)) in the wake of its recent $120-million (U.S.) acquisition of oil and gas assets from Wapiti Oil & Gas and Wapiti Energy. The Globe's Darcy Keith writes in the Eye On Equities column that Argent Energy issued $100-million (U.S.) in new equity to pay for the deal and is taking on new debt. Argent, however, still has a strong balance sheet, says Mr. Gill. He figures Argent Energy's payout ratio will decline to 116 per cent from 138 per cent. As a result, Mr. Gill rates Argent Energy "sector outperformer" with a price target of $12.25 (Canadian). The shares of Argent Energy have a five-month range of $8.95 (Canadian) to $10.70 (Canadian). The Globe's Boyd Erman said on Oct. 30 that Argent Energy was having a good run. The shares were then worth $9.81 (Canadian).
thanks

Q: Thanks for all your good work in 2012. Never mind the Boxing Day sales, you guys are the biggest bargain on Bay Street! I've done some annual Christmas clean-up by dumping Parallel Energy Trust(PLT) for a tax loss. Am looking at staying in the sector by replacing it with Eagle Energy Trust(EGL). Any thoughts?
