Q: Hello can you please give me some insight on these companies. I heard the CEO speak from CNE CANACOL ENERGY and he sees growth into the next few years. BNS has a target of $9.50 and thinks the dividend is safe... is this realistic? My average is $7.52 I am thinking of averaging down??? The other is SAVANNA ENERGY SERVICES..BNS has a $10.00 target on this and thinks the dividend is safe as well. Although they downgraded this one to a Sector Perform... My average is $8.49.. Should I sell these and switch into something else. Your insight is always helpful thank you. Jason

Q: Hi: You recently answered a question that involved TBE (twin butte) and said that it was still a "sell" in your opinion. I'm wondering if you could elaborate on the metrics that make it a sell given its recent q2 report.

Q: Question on Petrodorado Energy (PDQ-V) - how do view recent dril/test results and potential share consolidation? Think we may finally see some upside movement here?

Q: Hi, I have parted ways with a wealth manager and recently transferred in to my self-directed account all of what they held for me. My portfolio now has way too many companies to follow (~60) and I would like to cull the herd starting with Energy. I now hold ARX, BNE, BNP, BTE, CPG, RE, TBE and ZAR. I like RE and would like to sell BNP and ZAR if only because they are in a loss position and I could use the offset. Of the group do you see any real keepers and any real clunkers I should sell?

Q: Concerning Sea Dragon Energy,

They have a land concession of 1275 sq kilometres in South Disouq in Egypt with a rich gas potential of 1.5tcf
Today they announced a farm out partner for this who is IPR energy who will receive a 45% stake. With this news there is no movement is share price or any volume. Is there an explanation for this and if not should I acquire and wait till the market wakes up.

Q: I am a share holder of Elk Water Resources (ELW), now I have some rights that are also in my account. My broker has informed me that for every 4 rights I can buy one new share at $0.1/share. I have never seen this before, is this info correct and it seems to good to be true buying the shares for $0.1/share when they are trading at $0.78/share? Why would a company do this and does it also mean that there is additional dilution coming to all existing shareholders because I assume the additional shares will be issued by the company??

Q: I have about 21% of our portfolio in oil with full positions in HSE,BTE,CPG,WCP,SU and a half position in SGY. Today's paper had a column in the business section disparaging the oil sands. So I am considering selling SU, increasing SGY to a full position and adding one more oil. We rely on dividends for 50% of our income, so - 1. What is your opinion of SU? 2. If I do sell SU, can you recommend another decent energy stock.

Bellatrix Exploration: Deeply Undervalued And Likely To Achieve Significant Price Appreciation
Aug. 15, 2014 5:00 AM ET | 16 comments | About: Bellatrix Exploration Ltd (BXE) Subscribers to SA PRO had an early look at this article. Learn more about PRO »

Disclosure: The author is long BXE. (More...)
Summary

Bellatrix Exploration is a USD $1.3 billion market cap E&P with an average trading volume of US$3.3 million on the NYSE and $34.8 million with the TSX included.
Bellatrix trades at a discount to peers and must appreciate 76% to reach the median peer group multiples.
Bellatrix has net debt / Q2 2014 EBITDA of 1.2x, which is lower than 7 out of 10 peers, and affirmed production increases of 33%, which is higher than peers.
Due to increased firm service capacity, Bellatrix alleviated near term constraints on production growth. Their 2015 and 2016 gas plants will fully eliminate those constraints.
Continued increases in production growth, and a new PR campaign in the US will cause a re-rating of this stock. My 12 month price target is C$16.
