Q: Franco Nevada is my only gold holding. Down ~15% on it. I want to add more to gold, should i add more to FNV or is there a better gold stock you like more? How is FNV priced in terms of P/E or whatever ratios you think are most relevant and how does that look vs peers?
I was thinking just the actual gold ETF, but i think a miner would have more torque iuf gold prices rise. I like the royalty model
Q: I read a piece In the G&M by Rosie on the weekend re: nuclear energy as a potential outperformer. It mentioned the above firms as potential investments. I did a little homework and of the Cdn firms, the only 1's I thought worth investing in were the ETF and ATRL. I was unfamiliar with the U.S. firms . Can you shed some light on them please? I do have positions in Hammond Power, SMCI & Vertiv, which I'm pleased with and am thinking of adding to. Thanks for any light you can shed on this for me to enhance an informed decision.
Q: I currently own URNM, a uranium etf. I'm thinking of switching out of it to equal weights of CCO, DML and NXE. What do you think of this strategy? Are you comfortable with the three producers or is there another one you would swap in? Or do you prefer just to keep URNM? Your thoughts?
Q: I have some shares of LUN and they are up 50%. Is it time to take profits or do you think the company has a longer runway. I noticed it has peaked around this price a few times. Where are we in the business cycle and where do materials fit in as they are very cyclical -is that correct? thank you!
Q: Would you be a buyer of this company before their up-coming earnings? What is your over all view of their future in the near term and next 1-3 years?
Thanx Gary
Q: What are your thoughts on the demand and price of uranium going forward?
If positive how would you suggest that I might invest for a 10 year hold in a registered acct?
Looking at co's like FTS, SLF, RY with an unblemished dividend payout record vs those that have cancelled or reduced the dividend makes me wonder why the "Gold" co's go to such extremes to preserve the payout? Is a dividend a cheaper source of capital and does a pristine payout record shave a % or 2 off the cost? There has to be an economic reason beyond "Aristocrat" status.
Q: What do you think of the long-term price of uranium? If positive, how best could one invest? mineral etf or company etf?
Which one specifically for a 10 year hold in retirement acct?
