Q: Can you please provide your six favourite gold/precious metal stocks? Two large, established producers, two small and fast growing producers and two speculative companies that are more exploration but showing strong potential. Would DNG also have any appeal as a different way to play gold?

Q: It is a general rule that the day a stock goes ex-dividend there is a corresponding drop in the stock price .....Could 5i tell me the movement of GDXY the day it went ex-dividend for the last four dividend payments ? I didn't notice any movement myself that I could attribute to the security going ex-dividend but I wasn't watching closely ..... Also if there was movement what was the average recovery time for the ETF to return to the pre ex-dividend price or better ? Please tie your calculations to a corresponding rise or drop of the price of gold at the time of the events ? .... Thanks for your terrific service ! .....

Q: Hi 5i, would you please take a look at PPX, is it buyable now, they are almost completing the equipment being installed by PPX Mining Corp. at its Igor gold and silver project in Peru, specifically ball mills as part of the project's grinding circuit. I think it is a very important milestone. thanks

Q: Follow up question

If there is no premium for Teck why would management agree to takeover deal. Can you please give us the details of the deal is there a stock deal or cash and stock

If we consider the special dividend Anglo plans to shareholders prior to closing (which will impact the value of shares received as they will decline post-dividend) the deal is essentially at a 0% premium to TECK shareholders. The market is making the assumption that there will either be another offer or new bidders. Thus, we would hold for now.

Thanks for your advice

Q: It's at a 30 year high it seems like, it is hitting the upward end of analysts price targets and there is recent insider selling by the CFO. Should I just take my profits and buy lower? or is there a better stock to buy in the sector? And if there is what's a good price to get in on your "better stock"?

Thank you

Q: Hello friends,

I've recently read about these two companies in a report regarding insider activity. Both have impressive 52-week runs. My first opinion after a quick research is that APM looks pretty good, not so much CNL.

I would like a quick expert analysis on both, an opinion if their performance can continue and perhaps better alternatives, if your analysis does not result in a buy recommendation.

Many thanks!

Q: Good morning- I notice that in recent questions about gold companies, EQX is not amongst your favourites. I hold EQX and AEM. Would I be better off selling EQX and either adding to AEM or a different company? If so, which do you suggest? Many thanks
