Q: What do you think of the total return prospects for Morguard Corp (MRC) versus Morguard REIT(MRT.UN)? (MRC has much smaller div, but seems to be the cheaper of the 2.)
Both look very cheap in terms of p/e, p/cf, p/b; leverage seems ok; am I missing something? Thanks

Q: no question here but just a comment, wilan is turning into the dog it was before i bought it, i knew it going in but succumbed to your and imhofs both having it in the contest, i am a seasoned investor and should know better, their ceo is a bad guy who wastes the companies money 10 million on that mosaid attempted takeover.and peter you should know better.their earnings will probably not be good and they will make excuses ,i had bought 15000 but sold it today.dave

Q: You recommended - ADN -, it will be reporting on the 31st. Do you recommend to wait until they have reported before buying? Also with the us housing market improving - I am assuming stocks like this will benefit? Can you provide a 12 month target for this stock?

Q: What do you think of Tricon (TCN.TO) as a play on US residential housing recovery? They raise private funds for condo developments in the US and Canada, but recently the have partnered with local market experts to buy distressed home in hard hit US cities, rent them and operate the assets. I also want to note that management has recognize the risk in the Canadian condo market and have pulled back from Toronto and Vancouver. What do you think of the strategy and the valuation? Thank you.

Q: Hello,
Can you please share your thoughts on preferred shares in a portfolio for a retail investor. I looked into it a few years ago and it seemed to me that the risk/return is not stellar. If interest rate goes down you will likely be redeemed and if interest rate goes up your capital will erode. Was I on the right track ? Thank you for your time and great service.

Q: Peter...some cautions on AVO....

1. Is made in Canada a potential long term problem as they ramp up?

2. Why did their COO leave? wasn't he listed as the inventor on the patent?

3. do they have any proprietary patents that would protect them from copycats?

4. even though the stock has doubled since the IPO...it is still thinly traded...why?

5. any patents approved for HDSM?

6. how are they different than BOSCH or MARCH?

7. read the RayJames analysis but then noticed they did the IPO. conflict?
