Q: I am trying to balance out my portfolio sector weightings and am having trouble classifying where these 3 companies should go. I have all 3 of them as "Manufacturing and/or Industrial" whereas you have BOS and MG as "Consumer Cyclicals" and BDI as "Energy". Can it be argued that these are Industrials or should I just stick with your sector classifications?

Q: Peter and team:
I am down a lot on these two names. How do you see their recovery in the near term vs. oil stocks, assuming we see $60 oil in 2017?
I guess I am asking for your thoughts on selling these and getting in to something like RRX, SGE or WCP?
Thanks as always
Phil

Q: Your comments on the quarter from BDI, PLI and KBL please.
Thanks,

Q: What do you think of the bought deal? I am underwater 80 percent having bought 1,000 shares at its high. Would you buy more into this bought deal or just hang on for an eventual recovery. I feel it will take a long time to recoup 20 grand --worth the wait??
Q: I have a question about Black Diamond. It spiked after the Fort McMurray fire as it was felt this company could help in providing their accommodations to displaced persons from the fire.....and it has pretty much slowly trended downward from that spike up. The fire is now old news. I assume it's business is still in dire straights. What is the latest company report and news on this stock and their future outlook and financial health. Are they going to $0 or do you think we will see some further upside over the next 6-12 months? If so, what price do you think it will be at in 6 months? 12 months? I was considering dollar cost averaging on this stock as I am down big time on it. If it pops up above the current downtrend line above $5.40, I thought it might be a time to average down on this stock. What would you recommend I do? Sell at a loss? Dollar cost average knowing the future is brighter? Or do you recommend another energy play that has a brighter future than BDI?
Q: What would benefit BDI most pipeline east or west? Tks
- Raging River Exploration Inc. (RRX)
- Precision Drilling Corporation (PD)
- Black Diamond Group Limited (BDI)
Q: Peter and team:
I have an account that is not balanced and is basically a speculation account (a small portion of my overall portfolio).
In this account I am down significantly on BDI and PD as I got in to them when Oil was near it's peak.
I was wondering if it would be best to sit on them both and wait it out or perhaps bail and get in to a junior oil company that stands to "pop" if/when oil rebounds. I was thinking of RRX.
Or perhaps there is an aggressive growth company you might suggest that potentially could help re-coup some of my losses???
Thanks
Phil

Q: please evaluate - current/ financial condition/ prospects compared to others including BDI/MCR/ENT
Q: For those of us who have ridden BDI down to 75% losses, would you suggest being opportunistic and sell now ? Or, do you feel the price will continue to improve over at least the short term, and if so, (understanding that this falls under a "best guess scenario") ,any general thoughts on where that price might go to ?
Q: I am wondering who pays BDI to accommodate the unfortunate people who have lost their homes in Fort McMurray? I rode this stock all the way down (over 75 percent loss) and am wondering how far it could recover now that they are housing displaced Fort McMurray residents.
Q: Peter; Obviously a major rebuilding of Ft.MCMurray will be occurring ,AKA Slave Lake. Which companies would most benefit relative to geographical location to FMc. Thanks. Rod
Q: Hi Peter,
Could you provide your insights on the latest earning results. Do you see things improving?
Thanks for the great service!

Q: I'm keen to watch top managed companies in totally out of favor sectors, to buy when business conditions improve. I'm not looking for a relief rally on overlevered stocks for a short-term profit, but rather for stocks I can hold for a signifiant time as business conditions improve. BDI is one of the companies I'm interested in.
What would be the signs that BDI is a good "risk-return" story? What do I look for?
