Q: I am trying to balance out my portfolio sector weightings and am having trouble classifying where these 3 companies should go. I have all 3 of them as "Manufacturing and/or Industrial" whereas you have BOS and MG as "Consumer Cyclicals" and BDI as "Energy". Can it be argued that these are Industrials or should I just stick with your sector classifications?

Q: I have a question about Black Diamond. It spiked after the Fort McMurray fire as it was felt this company could help in providing their accommodations to displaced persons from the fire.....and it has pretty much slowly trended downward from that spike up. The fire is now old news. I assume it's business is still in dire straights. What is the latest company report and news on this stock and their future outlook and financial health. Are they going to $0 or do you think we will see some further upside over the next 6-12 months? If so, what price do you think it will be at in 6 months? 12 months? I was considering dollar cost averaging on this stock as I am down big time on it. If it pops up above the current downtrend line above $5.40, I thought it might be a time to average down on this stock. What would you recommend I do? Sell at a loss? Dollar cost average knowing the future is brighter? Or do you recommend another energy play that has a brighter future than BDI?

Q: Peter and team:
I have an account that is not balanced and is basically a speculation account (a small portion of my overall portfolio).

In this account I am down significantly on BDI and PD as I got in to them when Oil was near it's peak.

I was wondering if it would be best to sit on them both and wait it out or perhaps bail and get in to a junior oil company that stands to "pop" if/when oil rebounds. I was thinking of RRX.

Or perhaps there is an aggressive growth company you might suggest that potentially could help re-coup some of my losses???

Thanks

Phil

Q: I'm keen to watch top managed companies in totally out of favor sectors, to buy when business conditions improve. I'm not looking for a relief rally on overlevered stocks for a short-term profit, but rather for stocks I can hold for a signifiant time as business conditions improve. BDI is one of the companies I'm interested in.
What would be the signs that BDI is a good "risk-return" story? What do I look for?
