Q: Any idea why “D” is trading so much lower than the others (F, H & J)?

Q: Good Afternoon.
A general question about the iron ore sector, where do you think the bottom is? The price seems to be holding around $80/ton down from $190 in 2011. I know the big 3 have been ramping up production to drive their costs down even further and as a result of course oversupplying the market. I believe the big 3 (Rio/BHP/Vale) control about 70% of the seaborne market and that market share is likley climbing as we speak as they put the high cost producers out of business. Eventually I would think once they capture further market share they would rein in some supply and the price would bounce back (make much more for their shareholders @ $125 vs $80 iron)). I know you are momentum investors and would prefer buying 52 highs as opposed to lows but any insight into this very cyclical business would be appreciated. There are some juniors now trading at cash so lots of opportunities energing for year-end buying perhaps. Thanks

Q: I hold Cameco now for nearly 2 years in my RRSP account, which is 100% invested in diversified canadian equities. I felt the company prospects were tantalizing and bought it for the long term. While the market has done pretty well over this 2yr period, I am slightly underwater here. I am wondering if there is an opportunity cost lost here and should I get out now when traditionally there could be seasonal strength?
If you think I should indeed get out, what would you replace it with either in Canada or USA? I have a fairly well diversified portfolio with no exposure to metals/mining and a very small exposure in healthcare with PHM, 10% in oil and gas and overweight in financials. Would you consider switching to Seven generations if trading below $20, something else in Canada or do you have a suggestion something south of the border.
I know this question now extends to more than one, and if you prefer, give a separate answer. How would you compare Tourmaline and Seven Generations @ around 20 dollars?

Q: I am disappointed with they amount of negative comments by subscribers and 5I about this company .I have held this company since the ipo and has in the past some up and downs caused in the main by some analysts negative comments .Since the recent market correction this stock has held its value and preserved investor capital and the only company I own that declares their dividend 3 months out.
Much of their debt is in debentures that the market values at a premium of 4 to 5%
I wish that other stocks that I owned protected my capital as well

Q: BDI's earnings over the past couple of years have been relatively flat. While revenues have grown. expenses have kept pace. Is their inability to grow the bottom line due to the competitive nature of their business or is it perhaps due to how the business is being managed? If it is the former, my sense is that business is only getting tougher. I would appreciate your comments on this and your thoughts as to what might move the stock higher. The company will be reporting soon, but based on projections earnings will be much the same as previous years. So my question remains why hold or buy this company?

Q: I need some hand holding on this stock. It seems to be breaking down and looks to become a prime tax loss candidate (if not already in its thrall). Is it as bad as all that?

Q: Hello: This firm pays a dividend of nearly 8%. However their debt is quite high. If we have increasing interest rates do you think their share price would be affected considerably over the next couple of years?

Q: this is more of a general question.
I own BDI, WSP, MCB & SJ all down significantly and all losses YTD for me except SJ. I expect that the carnage is over but are they all dead money for some time to come (although the dividend yield has by default improved) and a switch into something else within your two portfolios provide a better return.
Of the 4, which does the team expect the best risk/reward return over the next 12 months and within the 2 portfolios which stocks would you replace them with to be in a better position in 12 months?
On the other hand, if these are strong well managed companies, is it best to wait for an improved Global economy which should lift them back.
