Q: 1. Most gold mining stocks are not going anywhere since 2020. I’m looking for juniors for possible growth. CXB is getting traction since its Marathon Gold acquisition. You have already suggested KNT, KRR, ORLA. I find ORLA interesting and many analysts follow it. Would you compare CXB with the other 3 for future growth?
2. Would you have a reference for ranking countries as per their “friendliness”/risk for mining companies, eg african, latin american ones.
Q: could you give your opinion on KRR and future growth .Would you buy it here and could it be a takeover candidate?
Are there any other small gold companies that you like and are not yet "discovered" by the investors.
Q: As a follow up to yesterdays question about Calibre mining's current financial statements, can we project what the future of Calibre's finances will be incorporating in the Fiore assets resulting from the recent merger?
Q: I owned CXB and it more than doubled. Then I wanted something a little more established so I put the money into KL. It started off well but then I ended up down 20%. When it merged with AEM, I sold KL for the tax loss and bought AEM thinking the combined company looked like a really good gold company. Now I am down 4% on AEM. This now amounts to less than 1% of my overall portfolio. Gold is supposed to be a stabilizer in a portfolio but I have lost faith in it. I certainly don't want to buy more. Do you think someone should have a little gold in their portfolio?
Q: I've been a holder of Calibre Mining for a while, and I'm getting a little worried about its slide downhill regarding its share price. I think the company should be making good money. Is there anything of major concern here (debt, balance sheet)? Would you consider it a HOLD? I'm bullish on precious metals.
Q: Calibre Mining recently made some management changes. Today, the market looks none too pleased. Since your last comments on January 26, has enough changed to let this one go? Thx Lionel
Q: I've recently moved 10% of my portfolio into gold/silver miners HL FVI CXB DSV FVL
What's your top five high/medium risk junior miners as I'm not opposed to switching? I'm thinking high grade deposits are most attractive since they will be scooped up first by the majors.
Q: You last answered a question on CXB in November in which you said that CXB's 4th quarter earnings would be key in assessing the comp;any. Those earnings are now out. What do you think?
Q: The last time you answered a question on Calibre Mining was in 2013. I take it they have since taken control of the Nicaraguan mines from B2 Gold which seems to be an accomplishment in itself. It is still a penny stock. How would you rate it as an investment?
Q: Hi Peter and 5i: B2 Gold (BTO) and a tiny exploration partner, Calibre (CXB), issued a release today confirming that BTO had completed the expenditure required for a 51% earn-in on their joint exploration property in Nicaragua, set a $2m budget for further drilling etc in 2013, and disclosed some recent drill results on the property. The result was that CXB tanked by 40%. Can you explain the market reaction on this one? Thanks!
