Q: I am looking for exposure to the renewable energy space particularly in solar, as I think that in the next decade it will be a good investment. Could you recommend several ETFS that might fit that goal. I expect that we need to look outside of the Canadian market but do not exclude it.
I'm a novice trader and I hope my question is not too obvious.
I like to watch the "analyst estimates" on the Wall Street Journal website and I wonder how realible those estimates are and who provides them ?
Fo example, the average target price for BIN (Progressive Waste Solutions) according to the Wall Street Journal (aka their data provider) is set to 31.38 (see http://on.wsj.com/1gH1FaE).
This is lower than the current price at 35.6.
What's your though on such estimates ?
Q: The influential Barron's magazine wrote about this company recently with some specific concerns.
1. This is no longer a growth company. It deserves only a market multiple for a subprime lender which is 1X book value and not 1.5X which means a 35% lower stock price.
2. They have razor thin margin to protect against a possible downturn in the overheated Canadian housing market with salaries not rising.
If these concerns are valid. I have a feeling the bears will pile back in. What is your view? Thank you.
Q: Newmarket had a 28% jump in their share price last week. Apparently it has reduced it's costs and had the best quarterly result ever plus it discover 3 new mines so far this year.
I would like your opinion as to their future potential and if it is worth considering it as a buy? Thanks.

Good morning
What is wrong with Northwest Real Estate investment Trust? I thought it would be a stable business with long lease high quality tenants however I am down 32% now on my 1% position.
Are their buildings now worth a lot less?
Would you now consider the dividend still safe or would I be better to take my lumps, sell and move on to Chartwell which has a lower dividend but I think you consider a much better company for a long hold.
Regards....... Paul K

I got out at $39 and missed a nice ride up. TD projects close to $50.lpng term hold if I consider price. Jump and dividends should I replace ABT, SYZ or ET or stand pat and why?
Thanks for all you do
Dennis
Corby is off about 10% from its highs earlier this year. I don't see any significant news. Just wondering if that is because of perceived interest rate increases coming later this year? I was thinking of adding to my small position to bring it up to a 5% weighing for income. Any thoughts on the company and this move?
Q: Not sure what happened, I submitted the following question last week (can't remember exactly which date, sorry) but still no answer, in case it was missed, here it is again:
We have ala, arx, cos, cpg, sgy, wcp in our energy allocation, currently approx 7% of portfolio, besides ala & arx which we held a few years already, others are down 20-60%, we are not too concerned, plan to ride out the downturn as is.
Just wondering in your view, is there any better energy names you would recommend to swap for better gain during upturn and at the same time, log some capital loss for future gain?
