Q: Hello Peter & Co.
I notice that your equity portfolio has no exposure to the energy sector except for ENB (pipeline) and no exposure to the pharma/health care sector; however, some 25% of your portfolio is in the technology sector.
What was your thought process to arrive at that?
Tony

Q: Hi Peter and 5iResearch Team,
I have held Encana, ECA for what seems forever - purchased at $29.79. Should I continue to hold this stock, with the recent company changes? Do you like this stock or is their a much better option for solid LT growth and dividend in the oil and gas sector.
Thank you.

Q: Hi great spot on BNN today !
If I could get an opinion of BYL Baylin Technologies from the current share price .
I understand they are in the process of trying to waterproof their antenna (patented) which covers the whole frequency spectrum 700mhz to 2.7ghz which will satisfy Samsungs needs,
and they have a new plant coming online in Vietnam
Stats I have read have predictions of 20 billion wireless devices by 2020 .... Do you think they have the potential to do decently in the future

Q: What are your thoughts on mortgage prepayment vs investing the same amount in investment and or TFSA account with current mortgage rates less than 3%? Is one better than the other or should we do this half and half (ie. if I have 2000 saved I put 1000 as mortgage prepayment and 1000 towards investment? Also what about investing using a home equity line of credit and writing off the interest costs?

Q: Is there a place (for the average guy) to see those large block sales such as what occurred with WCP today? Also, why do they blast shares out like that since it is probable that it will drive the share price down and they end up getting less for their shares?

Q: Hi. Your response to Denis on CUS leads me to think you might not be aware that the dividend has been cut.

From the earnings release.

"The Board of Directors declared a quarterly dividend of $0.10 per common share, representing a 27% reduction from the previous quarterly dividend of $0.1368"

Q: AVO revisited: The central issue seems to be the CFO departure and whether it is health related. Why doesn't he simply issue a statement confirming or denying this? I noticed the CEO did not mention health in his interview. He actually tap danced around the issue saying "don't read too much into it". He could put an to this as well by issuing a statement that is more direct and less ambiguous.

In all likelihood they have made millions with AVO in part because so many of us have bought the shares. I would think given the circunmstances both of them owe their fellow shareholders an explanation. Otherwise this dark cloud is not going to disappear for quite a while. And innocent shareholders will suffer!!!
