Investment Q&A

Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.

Q: I-MAB (IMAB:Nasdaq) is up 11% today on 4 times the usual volume. Is this a sign of a fundamentally significant move in its prospects? Your insight would be much appreciated as it is well-rated but not by firms/analysts I recognize.
Thanks
David

Q: Good morning 5i team

Altus receives little attention from your subscribers. Its share price has increased after the sale of its property tax business, debt pay down, and share re-purchase.
I am trying to decide if their shares represent a solid opportunity to now buy.

Several questions please.

Does 5i view Altus as having meaningful competitive advantage versus peers in providing CRE intelligence services?

Does 5i view Altus as a 'wide, narrow or no moat' company?

Does 5i feel that Altus has a significant runway to gain market share, grow revenue and profit in the CRE market over the next few years?

And finally, would 5i recommend buying Altus shares now, or perhaps wait for a pullback?

Thank you.

Edward

Q: I've been hearing some good things about this company and it's new technology that would be aligned w/ the theme in AI investment / augmented reality etc. It seems their co-packaged optics technology would have a big impact on energy usage / efficiency of AI-related chips and could be a big beneficiary of future investment trends.

Are you familiar with this company? Any thoughts on its prospects?

Q: Hi 5i Team,

Small-cap stocks are trading at a double-digit discount to their fair value, which seems like a great opportunity, agree?. I would appreciate your expert insights on the following six Russell 2000 companies:
OneMain Holdings (OMF), Crocs (CROX), Texas Roadhouse (TXRH), Chart Industries (GTLS), Dave Inc. (DAVE), and Inspire Medical Systems (INSP)

I am particularly interested in your views on their fundamental, growth potential, the durability of their competitive advantages (moat), and any concerns that may be worth noting.

Thank you!
Matt

Q: The share price momentum appears to be accelerating lately with a surge in volume. An article in the globe outlined positive developments in its revenue base. How would you rank this now compared to your favourite small caps, especially in the defence sector?

Q: GSY went from a darling to relatively flat, while PRL continues on a tear. Do you still recommend GSY with the same enthusiasm/do you expect it to resume its upward path, and would you advise PRL instead at this point?

Thank you,

Peter

Q: May I have your thoughts on the “updated collaboration agreement” between Power Co. SE (Volkswagen) and QS? It seems the agreement has expanded up to 260 million USD from 130 million. According to QS some payments will be received in 2025. It appears to me that sales are anticipated. Profits and positive cash flow are likely still off in the distance. Is the company being de-risked? The stock is down today, possibly more was expected or we are seeing “Buy on rumour sell on news” reaction. Any thoughts you have would be appreciated.
