Q: Hi guys,

For Avigilon (AVO), if the CFO was fired because of accounting "irregularities" that affected or misrepresented earnings, wouldn't the company want to halt the stock and provide the accurate information rather than say its for health reasons and then 24 hours later risk losing accountability and have the market potentially discover the real reason for the firing in the financial report?

Q: Peter et al,
I am up from 21% to 27% in the energy sector (BTE, CPG,SGY) with the recent increases of Baytex and Cres Point. I am considering selling some CPG to invest in another sector. I have no industrials, pharma or biotech. I have been looking at Badger and Black Diamond. Reading previous answers you seem to favour both. Which would you recommend for growth with a little income? Thanks in advance.

Q: I have a follow up to my last question on Imris. I am almost ready to pull the trigger on this one. Your last answer to my question put you in the not buy camp, however I have a 3-5 year time frame and these prices just seem like a great time to get in. My hesitation is around their cash levels. I was looking at their annual report and cash is very low plus they borrowed 25M that has to start repayment in 2015. So I guess to summarize what would you peg the percentage chance of this company going to 0? i'm okay if it drops from here as i have a long time frame but if they can't survive well that's another story. is the downside risk that high? thank you for the great service you provide.

Q: BDI. What are your thoughts on BDI in front of earnings report tomorrow? I realize the company's long term position looks favorable given expected LNG development in BC, but can you comment on any short term impacts such as long winter, etc? The share price seems to have plateaued of late. Can you also provide any insight on management's investment in the company? Thanks for your help...

Q: Magna's executive compensation has always been a controversial subject and the company spills about one third the ink in its 90 page Proxy Circular justifying it, though judging by share performance, perhaps they're worth it, particularly Don Walker. I don't see the Stronach names anywhere in this document; are they still involved in any way with the company and how many shares do they still own? Also would it be reasonable to look for a share split in future? Thanks, J.

Q: Why has WIN.TO gone up so much the last few days? I can't find any info why. Time to sell a half position and invest in something better like SJ.TO or should I get rid of all of it? My average is $3.97 and with the dividend I don't lose to much.

Q: GLN Glentel. Looks like investors are throwing in the towel on GLN today. One has to go back 2 years to get a comparable low! Surely things can't be that bad? Is it?

Q: Greetings 5i Team. I am currently trying to add more CORE holdings to my portfolio. (Companies that I will hold indefinitely and add to on market pullbacks). After looking at your 'income portfolio" I would consider the following to be core holdings: Bank of Nova Scotia, BCE, Loblaws, Sun Life, and Telus. My plan is to add all of them to my portfolio. My questions are:
1. Am I correct in assuming the above mentioned companies are core holdings?
2.Do you consider others in your 'income portfolio to be core?
3. Which of these companies would be the best buys at current valuations?

Q: GH - There were 23,501,666 Shares issued and outstanding as at March 31, 2014. Of this amount, 13,182,615 Shares constitute the "public float", calculated in accordance with the rules of the TSX. What is the "public float" and where are the other 10 mill. shares? Where can I find info on share buybacks? or do you have info on buy-back history of GH? Thank You

Q: re: CVL Cervus Equip

Trading Volume remains considerably off (65%) daily averages and value is down 10% in past 60 days with the majority of that drop taking place mid March. It has now been holding where it is for the last 6 weeks.

Any update since we last looked at it beginning of April? Would you consider this a buy or hold?

Thanks for all you do

Gord
