Q: I recently took a loss on CPH in my RRSP account. My avg. price was 14.5 and I sold at 9.4. I replaced it with TRX. What do you think? Was this the right move or should I held on to my CPH losses.

Q: I have a small position at higher prices, with its recent results, do you think it's wise to average down a bit? I usually don't average down often.
Thanks
Thanks
Q: Hi guys, I've held Badger for more than a couple of years but am starting to wonder if it's just in permanent slide mode. Should I sell while I'm still in the black? Thanks!
Q: Hello Peter & team, Seems BNS is the "winner" here. It could be affected by being exposed in L.Am. to miners PLUS being affected the MOST of all Canadian banks due to its exposure to oil/gas sector in Canada, with "cracks" starting to show in Q4 and early 2016 (as the article suggests). And who knows for how long low oil prices will persist....maybe it will stay low for ever due to supply that keeps growing. Would you pls. comment on this article.

Q: Could you please provide your view of Tricon's latest results and your opinion on the stock moving forward?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Q: I would like to increase my exposure in a life insurance company. I currently own Sun Life (3%) in a well balanced portfolio which includes US exposure and I am wondering if I should buy more SLF or go south of the border and pick up some AIG. My thinking is that interest rates are set to rise in the US, which is usually good for lifecos while Canadian rates are still lagging.
I realize that some of the interest rate increase is already priced into AIG as it has done will for the past year. But is seems to me that as much as things are "priced in" there is still a reaction when the event itself finally occurs and there will be a lag to earnings until the higher rates actually hit the bottom line.
Do you feel AIG presents a better long term upside or should I stick with SLF?
Thanks for the insight.

Q: Could you please comment on the price decline and a very negative technical pattern(down, down). I hold this stock for income and some growth but some "unknown" seems to continue to push the stock down. What am I missing??
Thank You Ron
Thank You Ron

Q: Hello Peter,
I would just like to say that for me this has been the best perfoming equity in my portfolio and I have held it since 2012. This was a company that I had never heard of until I joined your group so kudos to you guys. It has become a larger holding in my portfolio and has provided stability in this ugly Canadian market.
Thanks Guys
Peter

Q: Hi, Quarterly results seem strong. Would appreciate your comments. How is the FX working for the co. with a large portion of revenue from US operations? Thanks
Q: Now at 3.4% in the B.E. portfolio Sylogist I believe the position started at 5% as an original component; has any been sold along the way or has the position reduced because it has underperformed the p/f as a whole? Would it be prudent to add to a smallish position here held for 2 years now in a TFSA? Thanks, J.
Q: Good moring team. Would you still consider Wi-lan reasonable for long term income? My current holding is 0.75% of my portfolio. I would move up to 1.5%. Thanks
Q: Comments on results and the outlook ahead.. Stock has been very sluggish this year.
Q: MDA or ComDev for a TFSA ?
Thank you.
Thank you.
Q: You've rated GC as a 'B' in your reports. It is down 25% from it' high, down 8% today alone and is flat on the year.
Why has GC taken such a hard hit? and how do you feel about the outlook of continuing to hold the stock?
Thanks and ouch!

Q: What is your opinion about the current drop in the stock price. Down 20% in the last week
Q: I have a non stock specific question but Enbridge is a good example. Can you explain how stocks balance out across borders when they trade in different national markets in different currencies. In the case of a stocks like Enbridge for example how do the various markets reconcile say a rising interest rate environment in the U.S. versus a falling or steady interest rate environment in Canada? There is the currency question but there is also some intrinsic different potential reactions to a steady dividend payer in these different rate scenarios. So how does the Mr. Market "know" what to do? If there is any literature you can point me to that would also be much appreciated. Thanks once again.
Q: down a lot today. any reasons.( besides a bad quarter).
Any value here?
Thx
