Q: I am really seeing great value in my membership with 5I, keep up the good work.
Other than the stocks in the model portfolio which I am using for my Canadian exposure, could you please suggest one stock to buy approx $20,000 worth with good growth potential over the next 6-9 months.

Q: Do you feel Bank of America ( BAC ) , which I bought on Friday , is heading up or did it just top out ? Have I made a timing error ?

Q: hi peter, i currently have my pension in stocks that are split between US and International companies the last year; after the good run they had last year, as the TSX was lagging, but still gaining, i am wondering if know is a good time to re-invest in the TSX and switch to totally TSX equities. Basically i am trying to decide which market has the better potential for large cap stock gains over the next 12 to 18 months?

Q: Have you ever considered creating a 5I membership forum for members to discuss/debate stock holdings? There are some savvy subscribers here no doubt where it would be beneficial to hear some continued feedback on stocks bouncing ideas/thoughts etc; back n’ forth per your question/answer section, call it an added 5I advantage within your growing readership. Less experienced investors could sit back and observe taking notes/pointers – a learning forum if you may. Of course, having it closely monitored by Mr. Hodson and the 5I team to answer/clarify pertinent queries on stocks would be the main root of creating such a forum. There seems to be a short term outlook by some members on here as is evident by the barrage of questions on stocks on a weekly sometimes daily basis, there seems to be many repetitive questions on the favorite core of stocks with a short term focus which isn’t what 5i sets forth. I’m sure a forum like this might break away some of 5I’s time to give us more updated reports and perhaps blast out by mass email when a company reports on a quarterly basis/earnings etc; that you know will bombard with questions (why not hit many members with one mass email?). I’m sure there wouldn’t be a whole lot of policing to enforce on a forum with certain privileges revoked if the forum got out of hand as this seems like head and shoulders above the type of audience that plague other investing sites. I can’t be the only one to pose this question, your thoughts along this avenue would be appreciated. Thank you.

I currently hold Cipher, but was thinking about switching into Biosyent. Although Biosyent has a lower market cap, it also has more diversification in its operations and better stock momentum. What are your thoughts on this switch?

Q: I noticed a few questions on why BPF.UN, Boston Pizza, has been weak. I would suggest that the increasing Payout Ratio is not a good sign, especially considering they have been borrowing money to buy back units in an effort to keep the POR down. That debt has to be paid back one day, which will cut into profits at that time, and possibly lead to a distribution cut. I know that is in the future, but that day will come. And won't the low Canadian dollar and drought in California lead to higher input costs for the short-medium term?

Q: These are two US companies. It seems to me that the US market is doing better so I seem to buy more of their securities. ARWR is a stock I hold and dropped 13% on Friday. Please give me an opinion. AKS is another one. Looks like it is doing good. Please give me an opinion. I am thinking of buying it. On the Canadian side, I noticed on Mar. 20th BYD.B dropped to 32.5. The next day, it was up over 37. What created that drastic swing? Thank you. Your opinion is greatly appreciated.

Q: I like Ryan Modesto's recommendation to invest in tobacco companies as a play on medical marijuana. Any in particular? Spread it out over PM, RAI, MO, LO? Others? Maybe the individual investor can build a small "etf" by adding one or two risky companies? Recent inheritances put $100k U.S. in the bank, and I could reasonably dedicate it to this sector, even though I don't need the income from the tobacco dividends. Thank you.

When starting, considering that the stocks in the MP have already appreciated what's the best way to start?
Will the same strategy apply for 100K up to 500K accounts?

Q: peter - A few months ago I took a small position in Neulion(nln) and recently noted that their results for the last quarter were very good. My investment small as it was is up 63% What do you think of this company. Would they be a likely company to partner with Rogers when they make a decison in this area ie enablement of on-line content for internet connected devices? If so, I might consider adding some more shares. thanks for this great service.
