Q: Hi 5i Team,
You have stated in the past that in your ideal world, stocks would be classified with 15 sectors (itemized below). Over the past year, you have suggested target sector weights that a model portfolio should aim for. I am doing some mid year rebalancing / new capital deployment with my portfolio and hoping you can fill in your updated target sector weights for the next 6-12 months based on what you see in the economy.
Capital Goods / Industrials =
Consumer Cyclical =
Consumer Staples =
Energy =
Financials =
Health Care (CDN) =
Health Care (US) =
Information Technology =
Internet / Software =
Materials (Gold / Silver) =
Materials (Metals) =
Real Estate =
Retail =
Telecommunication Services =
Transportation =
Utilities =
TOTAL = 100%
(Risk Profile = 8 out of 10 with long time horizon, current portfolio consists of 45% small cap, 25% mid cap & 30% large cap)
Thank You.

Q: Any insights on KXS - just went public this week. Seems like a bit of a resurgence in the tech sector? thanks
Q: This is question about AAPL but also about what you think of stock buyback in general. How does a stock buyback fit into your criteria for feeling bullish or bearish?
Q: I have large positions in Cineplex and Interpipeline-the two make up about 20% of my portfolio. I was thinking of bringing the total down to 10% and using the funds to buy Everet Technologies. Your thoughts please?
Q: Good Morning Peter and Team,
Regarding Fiera Capital (FSZ- TSX): When I look at the Ink Insider Report I see that there is a large amount of insider ownership. Such as:
- National Bank
- Goodman and Co.
- JC Clark
- Special and common shares owned by Fiera Capital insiders
It would appear that the vast majority of the outstanding shares are held by "strong hands" so the public float would be fairly small. This would explain to some extent the lack of analyst coverage and low trading volume. Paladin Labs was tightly held as well and we all know how that eventually turned out. Would you agree that there is hidden value within FSZ and that one should behave like the insiders and wait patiently for the value to surface ??? Thank you. DL

Thanks
Thanks

Q: Could you please tell me your thoughts on PSD (Pulse Seismic)? Thank you!
Q: Do you have any idea why Domtar UFS has been falling so drastically since the end of March? Thanks!
Q: Hi Peter, I've held CVL since 2009 & have done ok but I'm looking for a small/mid cap industrial with a little more growth potential. I also own SJ BAD LNR & STN. Any ideas??
Q: T:EGL.UN - EAGLE ENERGY TRUST
I have owned eagle from the IPO. They claim that they are unjustly treated like the other cross border plays (argent and parallel)who debt levels are very high and have cut their dividend)according to them they have a ratio of 1.5 which is considered reasonable. They claim that they will meet guidance and not cut the dividend. Is there any reason to question their claims and would you sell now? any comments regarding eagle would be appreciated especially with respect to the management.
thanks again .

Q: IBI.BB
I own some IBI 7% Debentures that are coming due in December 2014. IBI has made an offer to extend the maturity date to 2019 and they haveattached 2 options with a yes vote:
"Option A" Debentureholders receive a consent fee, consisting of an unsecured, non-convertible promissory note equal to $195.65 per $1,000 principal amount of Debentures, payable December 31, 2016 and bearing interest at the rate of 7.0% per annum and payable on maturity; or
"Option B" Debentureholders receive a consent fee, consisting of an unsecured, non-convertible promissory note equal to $86.96 per $1,000 principal amount of Debentures, payable December 31, 2016 and bearing interest at the rate of 7.0% per annum and payable on maturity and the reduction of the conversion price for the Debentures to $5.00 per common share from $19.17 per common share.
The no voters would only get the changed conversion price.
Which option would you suggest, or would you suggest selling it. It's value presently is only about 1% of my RRSP portfolio.

Q: I have a diversified RIF but with little U.S./International exposure. Could you recommend one or two ETFs that would provide this - looking for a combination of growth and income.
Many thanks for all that you do.

Q: Hi,
Your views on ET results please. Thanks

Q: I’d like your opinion on my currrent Canadian equity holdings (please note I own gold and silver as a sepearte part of my portfolio.) I couldn’t buy all of the ones in your two portfolios so had to make choices.
Is it diversified enough? Would you make any changes. Also, technically I am overweight in my Canadian holdings by one position (I should own 16, rather than 17). What would you suggest me selling? I’m wondering if I should sell ACQ because it has gone up so much.
ESL
BDI

STN

AVO
BEP.UN
SJ
ENB
SU

L
SLF (should I swap for HCG instead? Which will do better in rising interest rate market if housing declines etc?)
ACQ
BAD

Q: Hello Peter- Could you please rank in order of your preference, Whitecap, Tourmaline, Surge and Delphi in order of total return, using your ABC grading.
Q: Peter, given the seasonal "sell in May" scenario, even though it seems irrelevant this year, combined with the extremely high TSX near record levels, would it not be prudent to wait till the summer to rebalance or increase current holdings, even in growth names like DHX, SJ, ACQ, AVO, AYA, BAD, SGY and WCP. Or are today's prices ok for a 3 year hold. Thanks as usual
Dave
