Q: Hi 5i team. I'm 68 years old and would like to gain some exposure to international markets by buying a number of ETFs. Which are your current favorites for;
1. American exposure
2. Global exposure outside of the United States
Descent dividends that are sustainable and rising would be appreciated.

Q: Hi Peter,
I have approximately $14000 to reinvest in a non-registered account. I'm looking for "safer" capital gains, dividend optional, to be held for 1-3 years. What are your top recommendations?
Also, since it's almost the end of RRSP season, do you suggest I wait a month or so before I make the purchase? (I realize you don't advocate trying to time the market but....)

Thank you for your great advice . I am slowly weeding out the crap in my portfolio . I need your advice on SLF.PR.B...I am down 5000.00 in a regular account..do I just sell it and look for other opportunities? The other is FFH.PR.E. Down 13000. So what should I do . This one is in my RRSP ..

My portfolio's Energy sector (14.5% weight) comprises BTE (heavy oil+), CPG (light oil), FRU (royalty), KEY (infra), TOU (gas) & VET (outside Canada); is there one you would sell or replace?

Q: Hi,

Can you let me know your opinion on TNG. It has taken a big hit from the high of 55 cents it reached a few weeks ago. Do you think they will generate good revenues from the new agreements they have signed. Also today they revised their financing from 25 cents to 21 cents. Does that mean they are having issues in financing. Should I bail out or hold. My cost is 0.245 cents. Thanks

Q: I have been a holder of CargoJet (CJT) for a number of years, happy with the dividend and, particularly in the last year, the growth. However, yesterday's contract announcement caused huge volume and a large gap up. I'm trying to determine if this is warranted or if it is just "irrational exuberance" ... your assessment would be appreciated .
