Q: Hi
It looks like tapering will continue through this year, and the emerging markets don`t look so hot. Besides this the Canadian dollar is weak.
That means a so-so year in the markets is at hand if we are lucky.
Do you agree?
Which 3-4 stocks do you like in the current environment for an 18-24 month time frame?

What are your thought about Q1 results and outlook for RDM Corp. (TSX: RC). The results look great with good growth, acquisition talk and a new dividend too!. Seems a very undervalued small cap investment. What do you think?

Q: Hi there, TD WebBroker just initiated coverage of FAM Reit (F.UN) with a Buy recommendation. Although it is small still, its share price has fallen since its IPO, and is externally managed by Huntingdon, it yields over 8% and seems to have a decent payout ratio of around 80%. What do you think of this one now and would you consider it a Buy at this level? How would FAM compare to say, AAR.UN?

Q: MSI & AQN
Hi Peter and Team,
I'm building an income portfolio of Canadian dividend payers. I'm considering adding either AQN or MSI with my available cash. These companies are in different industries, completely different structures, etc. However, from a long-term income perspective, which do you think is the better choice? I own some utilities already, and am thinking MSI might add some diversity given the concenttation of Cansdian stocks in few sectors.

Q: I have been a precious metals bug for most of my investing life. It seems the sector is both fundamentally and technically undervalued and is due for an advance. But of course timing is the BIG thing here. The precious metal sector used to be 100% of my portfolio but because of the volatility I have learned to invest in other sectors. However, I am still waiting for the big spurt. How would you time this supposed advance and how would you recognize it?

Q: Is the sell off of Air Canada gone too far? Reasons being cited are weakening of Canadian dollar. Are there more issues to this steep decline and is this the time to sell and lock in a gain?

Q: HLF shares are down around 5% today. The company has announced approval of a "normal course issuer bid (NCIB)". Would the news on the NCIB be the reason for the downturn of the stock price?

Q: A suggestion to other members. I use canadianinsider.com to see if management has faith in their own company. After the AD and EIF problems, I looked at HNL & insiders have been selling since November.

I give these managements an "F" and either sell or avoid buying them.
