Q: Please recommend appropriate broad based ETFs (preferably low MER) given a 10 year plus investment horizon for:
(a) The Canadian market
(b) The US market
(c) The World (ex US) market
(d) Bond exposure

Q: IN abscence of new model portfolio till april 1st is it ok to adjust my stocks to current model p?.Is there any stock there not to buy now?i am adjusting as of jan 2nd.

It appears the market was more than happy with the appointment of Mr. Fishman as CEO. Understandable considering the success he had with Teva.

I saw your answer yesterday for Michael when you said "we think it is fine to own for a higher risk investor but there are some speculative risks that need to be taken here."

Also yesterday James Hodgins on Market Call said Mr. Fishman has plans to triple the size of MSL to 100MM plus, it was mentioned the street consensus expects a 65% upside for the stock over the next 12 months.

I am seriously considering a 2% position as I am looking for some good growth opportunities. What I am concerned about is your mentioning "risks" especially considering the stock was at $1.50 mid morning on Friday then $2.00 mid morning earlier today which could be the response to the new CEO. I am also concerned the comments made on Market Call could be to good to be true considering MC guests often come from a promotional standpoint.

Do you think the recent increase isdue to Mr. Fishman' appointment or are there other factors at work here as well? And what do you think about MSL 6 months and 1 year out?

Risk tolerance is 7.5 out of 10. Assume a market cap portfolio mix of approx. 15%-20% small cap, 35-40% mid cap, 45% large cap.

I would like to initiate a 3 or 4% position (depending on risk) in a company in the Info Tech sector that would complement my other holdings. I currently have CSU and ESL in Info Tech at 4% each. I also have a diversified portfolio of other Canadian equities (ie. Financial 12% (BNS, SLF, HCG) Cons Disc 12% (AYA, DOL, DHX.B) and so on)

My main focus is growth over the long term. Could you make a suggestion?

Chorus has been out of the news lately after their successful bout with AC. They pay a nice dividend and have a fair chunk of change on the books I understand. Do you think a special dividend is on the horizon and what is your overall view of the company, especially with dropping fuel prices.
