Q: ARZ, Aurizon, thanks for the suggestion. Do you think there's much chance of a competing or higher offer, or would it be just as well to sell now.

Q: CML Healthcare (CLC) has a yield over 10% which looks tempting for income. However, the stock has been volatile. I would appreciate your views on this company. Thank you.
Q: Hi Peter - I really like your website; enjoy reading the member questions and your answers - very informative.
After reading the blog about maintenance of portfolios, I have two questions.
With a portfolio of $100,000, would the ideal number of stocks still be 20? And with my ACQ (AutoCanada) and STN (Stantec) becoming a larger percentage - would you still trim these or let them run up a bit?
Thank you

Q: Hi, to what extent are the businesses of McCoy (MCB), Badger (BAD), and Black Diamond (BDI) similar to Horizon North Logistics (HNL)and to what extent could they face a similar setback to HNL. IS HNL's setback an early warning of what might happen to energy services companies in general or is it a one off? Thanks..
Q: One factor considered by least some value investing proponents is that cash flow should be better than earnings. I note that in REITS ( at least RioCan and Artis) this is not the case and yet they are both successful. Is the structure of REITS such that this is a non starter.Thanks.
Q: Thanks for the fine service. I have held KOG Kodiak Oil& Gas on NYSE for a number of years. I have let it run and now have an overweight position. I have trimmed 15% so now have 0 cost. I plan to sell 50% or should I sell more? Thanks, Frank
Q: Hello Peter and team I presently have 11 stocks in the A and B categories and very pleased with the overall performance. My question is about averaging on a stock when the stock drop’s example ATP Atlantic Power Corporation down by 19% since I bought it. Would you recommend adding to this stock or kept building the diversification to 20 stocks. Thank you, Ronald
Q: Hello Peter and team, I really like the new format of the 5i Research Summary of 2012 posted January 5th 2013. It’s very interesting to find so much information on the companies on one chart. My question is what is the significance of the X’s in the Option column of the summary? Thank you, Ronald

Thanks,

Q: Amaya's CEO was on BNN Friday (11/01/2013). He stated that they are not looking to issue stock and buy other companies this year: i.e., "reload" as you have put it. What are your thoughts of the interview and the stock at this price, given the CEO's comments? Thank you for the great service!
Q: Hi Peter,
I'm down 14% with HNL. This is my first significant negative holding of 5i recommendations and I don't know what to do (HNL is 10% of my portfolio). Should I sell or hold?
Debbie

Q: Mr. Hodson, kindly consider the following. Any long time investor usually receives all kinds of offers by email. One I just received comes from Paul Tracy, Chief Strategist,StreetAuthority's Top 10 Stocks, Co-Founder, StreetAuthority. After listening, patiently, to a lengthy voice presentation, the offer is available (but only when on the verge of quitting) as a 22-page document. It looks pretty convincing and boasts its Top 10 Stocks annual list trounced the overall market 7 out of 9 years up to 2011 (2012 results haven't been finalized yet). The offer is for a subscription at 99$ per year to a bunch of publications, with a special introductory price of 39.95$ per year, with the possibility of cancelling the subscription before the 30 days is up (and keeping the reports sent, free of charge). Is this, in your view, analogous to a scam or at least all glitter and no substance ? I just read your article this morning in the Financial Post (Old lessons still ring true), and while this is not comparable, your message about being cautious is not lost on me.
