Q: Peter,
Am setting my 14 year old son up with an account so he can start learning and saving early. Room for only 2-3 stocks and he has to be able to understand the business. Thinking of a bank (TD or National), Brookfield Renewable, and a tech stock. Any recommendations on the tech side?

Q: Could I pls have your view on CPX in view of their latest quarterly results which on the surface look pretty ugly and the stock has sold off. Is this a near term hiccup/ good LT buying opportunity or is it wise to wait to see improvement in CPX's results over next few quaters.Thx.

Q: Genivar GNV has a lower purchase price and a larger dividend than STN. Are they involved in similar engineering activities? Would GNV be close to STN in terms of overall current valuation and annual growth from dividend and capital gain.

Q: Thanks for detailed analysis on Badger Daylighting. A few questions about the company:

(1) You mentioned that the high growth of the industry has attracted numerous competitors. Is the Badger Hydrovac design a proprietary technology that Badger owns exclusively? Other than reputation and engineering expertise, does Badger have other advantages over competitors?

(2) Many companies are now forecasting slower future growth and toning down their previous ambitious expansion plan. How do you see this trend affecting the future growth of Badger? Would you still recommend Badger at the existing stock price (approx $26)?

(3) In your report you say Badger's payout ratio is below 25%. What's considered high and low for this type of company?

Q: Hi Peter, can you please provide an update on your thoughts about Student Transportation (STB) in light of the negative report issued by the Prescience Group. I have been quite happy holding it for a long time now and I can be quite comfortable with risk, if it appears that management is credible and up to the task. But this short-seller's report all but calls STB a Ponzi scheme and suggests a $2 target price. How credible is Prescience?

I have held STB since 2009. I reduced my position last summer as a result of a sudden sell-off in which my gains appeared to be rapidly disappearing. But I still hold a substantial amount. Now apparently there have been negative reports put out by short sellers leading to a rapid sell-off. Do you have any insight into the current situation? The company claims they are in a blackout period prior to release of year-end results so they can't make a detailed rebuttal.
