Q: Please recommend a ETF that concentrates on companies that build weapons.Today's WSJ has an article that these companies are running huge backlogs. Thanks.

Q: Hi 5i.
Earlier in the year, my investment group decided to follow the theme of military and defense stocks, with the Russia/Ukraine war already well underway. We came up with a few smaller specialty companies that we thought might benefit from restocking arms and ammunition, war logistics, etc. Each has had a decent run so far this year. Wondering if you could provide a quick assessment of these companies and if you have any other ideas related to this theme. Also, what are your favourite large cap names in this space and maybe an ETF?

Q: It appears to me that there are a number of potential hotspots in the world today, which could make the defense industry a good investment. What is your view about the aerospace and defense sector over the next 5 years? Are there any ETFs which you would recommend, especially US based ETFs?

Q: I sold dol recently. I'm down 8% on ccl and 5% on pbh. Both have been week lately which is driving crazy while the US markets grow. I'm tempted to sell these 2 and replace with ba, ita, grub.

Q: Hi,
This is a follow up to your answer regarding my original question on Feb 14th regarding ETFs in the US Aerospace and Defense sector. Your answer focused my attention on the expense ratio as the main factor in choosing among ETFs with a similar theme, and you offered that 5 year average returns should also be considered. However, I am wondering if the dividends paid should also be a part of the decision? If yes, then as a general rule, ETF dividends would be considered only if all else is equal? Between the three ETFs, PPA pays .2504, XAR pays .0938 and ITA pays .3205. All are listed as quarterly payments. Thanks for helping out with my learning curve!

Q: Hi,
I am thinking that the recent drop may present an opportunity to enter into the US Aerospace & Defense sector at a bit of a discount. Is it better to use ETFs, or choose one or two top rated stocks? I don't know how you compare the costs of ETFs and could use a primer on what to look for / what to avoid when considering them, as I mostly use stocks or debentures.

Q: Hello,

Can you suggest an etf or stock suggestion to capture the global increase in defence and security spending. Also Trump is pushing hard on G7 countries to increase defence budgets. A lot of money could be flowing towards that sector. Also are these increases already priced in? Thanks. Shyam
