Q: Hi Team,
Could I have your views on which you prefer - BNP or ERF? I have some BNP but at a much higher cost and would like to add at a lower price to improve my income from it and hopefully sell when nat gas price goes higher (soon?). Thanks very much.

Q: AGF.B It was looking like AGF was making some progress in turning things around and since May they have bought back abt. 2 million shares.
The Dec 03 announcement that they have lost a $2.6 billion account is a setback to say the least. Your thoughts will be appreciated.

Q: I currently have no Canadian Banks in my portfolio and am looking for an opportunity to enter the sector. I am wondering with the recent pullback whether this is a good time to buy. I am thinking of splitting my money between two banks, specifically Bank of Nova Scotia and TD Bank. I have at par, uninvested US Dollars. Is there any advantage to buying on the US market or should I buy in Canada? Thank you.

Q: Hi,

Is AVO's cameras and software patented by them? I can't seem to find any info. If not, does this not create an opportunity for a bigger player in the space to simply copy what they are doing?

Q: As a holder of Rambler Metals ( RAB) I see the CEO has recently also become CEO of Kirkland Lake Gold, seems to me to be an unusual move to share a CEO? Any chance of a quick thought on RAB, I realize it's tiny and in a hated sector?

Q: Good morning Peter and Team,

Is there a "rule of thumb" regarding re-balancing a portfolio? With the great performance of stocks like STN and BAD, as an example, are their weightings perhaps getting too high? OTOH, as another example, I'm reluctant at this time to add to Goldcorp,which is down substantially. Your advice, as always, is greatly valued.

Q: We have full positions in TRP,IPL,PPL,and a 2/3 pos'n in ENB. We also have full positions in HSE,CPG,BTE and WCP. I'm considering selling our 400 ENB and looking at splitting the result between 2 of ERF,ESN,TOG,WJX. Your thoughts? Suggestions?

Q: Hello Peter
I am looking for a long term heavy oil/oilsands buy for the dividend because they have immense reserves and will operate indefinitely. Canadian Oil Sands COS is a plodding behemoth with little price change for 3 years but the best combination of high dividend 6.98% and Lowest P/E 11.26. I know you said on Nov 28th that it very cheap but a slow grower. The only other high dividend stock that I can find is Baytex BTE div 6.31%, but P/E 31.18. Is the higher Baytex P/E justified and on what basis, and might it be a better buy and is BTE's dividend secure longer term, and which one would you choose?
