Q: Peter; This is for Edward re the RRSP and US Funds. I deal at BMO InvestorLine and once you convert to
US funds to buy US equities it stays in USF. If you sell someting you just request settlement in USF . Rod

Q: I presently have a self-directed RSP account at TD Waterhouse WebBroker and use it to buy and sell shares on the NASDAQ. TD allows this but they convert the funds to U.S. on the purchase and then convert back to Canadian funds on the sale for each transaction. This is expensive. Are you aware of any discount broker that has a self-directed RSP U.S. account where the funds would be left in U.S. dollars and not converted to Canadian each time as I would like to continue investing in the U.S. through my RSP account.

Q: Would convertible bond funds such as AVK-N, CCI.UN-T, NCD.UN or CVD-T be safer and/or more likely to hold their value than bond funds or reits over a period of time as interest rates increase and as primarily income vehicles in a conservative portfolio?

Q: Thanks for all your help so far. I like small stocks $5.00 and less. I own SYZ up .65 I was told it might be hard to sell if I wanted to because of low volume? Should there be a certain amount of volume before I get involved with a stock? Should I stay with SYZ. I'm also interested in CMI I'm finally starting to get ahead since I joined and have been listening to your answers. Thank You Very Much. Andy

Q: Hi folks. If we wanted a more conservative Model Portfolio, would you add any other companies or change the allocation from equal weighting to some other allocation? I would add a fixed income portion of approximately 50-60% and am not looking for suggestions regarding that portion.

Q: Hi, I own Leisureworld (LW)and wonder whether I should consider it as part of my REIT portfolio or not. I know it is officially a corporation, but is it really a REIT in disguise, or should it be considered separately as a long term care provider? If it is quasi-REIT why has it performed so much better YTD than REITS in general. Thanks.
