Q: Hey Guys, these three are my "dogs" right now, fortunately, I have a small position in each, less than 1% of my portfolio. Would you keep all three and wait for the recovery or sell two and double down on the other one or sell all three. Time frame 3-5 years.

Q: Been a happy shareholder of Dollarama. If one looks at the chart, it's like the late-summer correction didn't even phase it.

There's always talk of increased competition from the dollar stores from the US (Family Dollar, Dollar Tree, Dollar General). Just how much of a threat is this to Dollarama's moat? And if US dollar stores are not a threat, what is their main risk?

Q: Hi Peter and Team,

I've written to you before about COS. I'm a long term shareholder of this company. I own 100K shares. Will I get a chance to vote on this deal offered by Su - and what's your take? Personally, I think it's a good fit and I think Su will be able to finally! get the syncrude project moving in a better direction (i believe that operation suffers from too many cooks in the kitchen syndrome). many thanks!

Q: you stated that Emera is cheaper then Altagas, yet AFFO clearly show that Altagas is much cheaper then Emera .Please comment.

Q: Both Concordia and Valeant are down 8.5 and 10% respectively at the moment. Is this due to normal volatility or any consequence of the TPP deal? Would you consider either a bargain over the next three years and which one would you prefer?

Q: Hello, I currently have about 2.3 million in stocks and rrsp mutual funds. I am 56, retired and seem to be doing ok. I'm spending a lot less than when I was working. :)

I am possibly selling my home and have already purchased a home in Florida, spending summers in Canada. I'm clearing about a million dollars. Very tempted to put it all in oil stocks such as surge, wcp, rrx as I think these will be huge gainers once the oil market and overall market starts to cycle back into better waters.

What would you do? I won't need the money for 2 years. I'd like to get a substantial return of course and feel nows a great time. What are your thoughts?

A follow-up on my previous question regarding your ranking of my holdings CRH,CXR,GUD,PHM,PLI,RX and VRX; you ranked GUD,CXR and VRX as the best by a wide margin and that PLI is good but expensive; you did not comment on or ranked CRH, PHM and RX

Q: Hi,

Has the dividend on VDU gone down a lot? I'm sure when I looked at it a few months ago it was about 4% and now it is under 2%. What would account for this change?

Q: Like everyone else I have to have some US exposure to my portfolio as it is the dominant market. I know you don't deal heavily with US stocks, but you have a lot more access and knowledge than I have. Could you give me a brief opinion of these 5 US stocks. #1 VICM (VIMICRO); #2 - SRPT (SAREPTA); #3 - MOH (MOLINA); #4 SWKS (SKYORKS); #5 SIMO (SILICON). Some I own and some I am considering buying. Q: After holding Brookfield Renew Energy (BEP) for a number of years and having a nice profit I sold my holding in a taxable account. My main reason is that it caused me problems every year when filing my CRA returns. I would like to replace BEP with another utility. I am considering Enbridge, Fortis, Algonquin, and Emera, or ??? Please provide me your best suggestion(s).

Q: Hi 5i team,
I was fortunate enough to have sold some of my winners earlier this year in my cash account, so need to take some of the losers off the table. I'm pretty sure I'll sell AHF and CHW (I've been disappointed with these for quite some time).
I'd like your advice as to which of these should go (please list the ones you feel strongly about not keeping first). Choices are: ACQ, AVO, CXI, DHX.B, FCU, IT, MDA, SYZ, TD and TOU. Also, do you think I "should" pick up any of these at a later time?
