Q: Hello Peter and company. I am interested in your views on Sylogist Ltd. This company looks to be very similar to a micro CSU. How do you rate the balance sheet and future growth. Do you see the possibility of others in the space seeing this company as a interesting small roll up.

I was also wondering if I might pose this question to you. Given the current environment with Obama Care being extended,Canadian companies looking to acquire and interest rates very low around the world. If you where going to invest in 3 companies with high growth and good balance sheets what would they be. Thank you as always and keep up the great work. Jason

Q: I have been watching Sylogist for quite some time and thought this might be a good entry point. However looking at the chart, it went up for three years straight and then straight down from about 12 to 7 dollars. It has recovered a bit but not much. What is the reason for the rapid drop and would this be a good entry point. Where do you see it a year from now. What other small cap stocks would you recommend in the tech space?

Q: Hi, there has been a decent amount of insider buying reported after recent quarterly earnings release, in past few days. The next quarter is already 2 months in and besides the dividend increase, outlook provided by management was quite positive in the recent MD&A. Do you think, it could be a signal of strong performance by the company/stock price ahead of us? I also noticed in the quarterly report that company had almost 2/3rd of its revenue coming from US operations. What are your comments on this trend? CEO also made a note that they are looking for acquisitions in Canada and US. Thanks

Q: I did a little digging around with SYZ and a statement on a report caught my eye. "Net loss reflects stock based compensation increase from $31 K to 1.6 M". This was for year ending Dec/14. Have you met with management recently? Is this a one time management move or a trend? Not very shareholder friendly. Thank you for your opinion. Unfortunately I bought this one for my son at it's peak. Not looking like super mom at this point. An opportunity for a learning lesson.

Q: I purchased SYZ in December 2013 at $7.18. Despite a nice little run-up in the stock over the past year, it seems we're right back where we started 14 months ago. I am wondering if there is any compelling reason to continue to hold? With a sluggish economy in the west, I cannot foresee much demand for its services/software at this time and am wondering if that is what is being reflected now in the price. Who would be SYZ's competitors, and how are they faring? Is there another company within that space that might fare better under present conditions? Thanks.

Q: Hi Peter,

Sylogist declared quite good results and they did an equity offering for 11 cad. They did a few acquistions too if I am not mistaken. Conventional wisdom states that a company grows by acquistions case in point csu, valient, Amaya so why is sylogist not following. They also increased their dividend what else do they have to do to increase their share value your
comments will be appreciated.

Thanks
Paul

Q: Can you please comment on Sylogist results released this evening.Do you see an improving trend ? Any thoughts on : "During the past year we deferred opportunities in our Canadian public sector unit and payment solutions operations to invest in our foundational technology, moving Sylogist products well ahead of market competitors. We are encouraged by the early financial success of these investments as noted in our MD&A"
