Q: Hi, Could you please provide your comments on Sylogist's just announced 2.5 mln shares secondary offering @11. Based on recent acquisitions and future acquisition potential, does the stock still offer decent upside? Thanks

Q: How do you explain SYZ's terrific gains over the past 2 days? Thanks
Q: Syz is getting to be a big part of my portfolio, but it keeps going up on light trading,it looks like you lightened up on it in model port.at some time.Any advice?
Q: Hi, Could you please comment on Sylogist earnings, released this evening. Thanks
Q: Hi guys........syz really taking it in the chin today but I cannot find any news releases on it......any idea?
Q: Peter and Team: I understand and agree with your decision to avoid target prices for stocks, but, having said that, I feel quite frustrated that I am unable to assess the risk-reward profile for a stock. I can only look at the chart and try to extrapolate.
Can you give me a sense of the risk-reward profile for two companies: Evertz Technologies (ET) and Sylogist (SYZ). Yahoo Finance shows 5-6 analysts covering Evertz. The low price target is $28 and the high target is $37. The stock is currently trading around $17. Are those realistic targets? Can you help me make sense of those targets (or provide one)? Yahoo shows no analyst coverage for SYZ. Can you give me a sense of its risk-reward, perhaps by comparing the two stocks? Thank you for continued great service.

Q: Peter: I have been looking at Sylogist, SYZ for the past few days as it reaches new highs. I'm puzzled by the reporting of volume. For example, today, the official count is 2615 but a look at trades on TMX.com shows many thousands more. Why the difference especially on what appears to be quite an illiquid stock, especially if you want to trade. Thank you and kind regards,
Q: If no one else has asked, I'd appreciate your comments on Sylogists purchase yesterday? Otherwise just delete.
Tks.

Q: Any news on SYZ? Halted trading at the request of the company pending news.
Q: Hi Peter and associates; SYZ has a good run this past while. My question is , do I add to my position at this price point or can you recommend one or two other growth stocks?
Thanks for your insight.
Thanks for your insight.
Q: Hi, Would appreciate your analysis of Sylogist Quarterly results. Stock has been trading as low as $8 while the financing was done @$8.90, not long ago. Will the dividend increase help the price recover, in your view? Thanks
Q: Technically, SYZ looks like it is setting a slanted base - not surprising after such a run
I would appreciate your fundamental view on the company at this point. If all is the same (or better :-)) as a few months ago, I may start getting in

Q: Hello 5i,
I was wondering what percentage of Sylogist's (SYZ) revenue is relatively fixed or recurring in nature? I noticed they haven't announced any new contracts recently. Would the contracts they announced last year still largely be in effect this year?
Their 2013 Q4 numbers were a step change above that for 2012 with benefits being realized from the Epic Data aquisition. Do you expect this to continue and what would you expect in the way of EPS for Q1?
Thanks

Q: SYZ - significant insider selling by CEO and others just before and after recent secondary issue. Cause for concern?
Q: Hi Peter Sylogist (SYZ)announced a Secondary today @$8.90. Is it worth picking up the shares at or around this price. Or, you think, it may dampen the stock price for some time and should wait to buy. Thanks for your advice.
Q: Peter & staff: Syz recently went up big and coming back down. Was the news or market indifferent.Where do you see it going in the next year.
Q: Re: SYZ
SYZ first quarter results looks good, yet not much action for the stock price as a small cap. Is it a strong buy here?
Thank you!

Q: Could you please comment on the results of Sylogist Ltd (SYZ) which were released this morning? Thank you, Peter
Q: As a comment to Neil who wrote about SYZ, as a fellow chartist - who never made a lot of money reading charts and is trying to take a more fundamentalist approach (thanks 5i), to add to your woes, there is a Head and Shoulders formation trying to form on the weekly chart. If the price drops below about 6.70 it will have completed. Also, on the daily chart, there is an intermediate triangle in place - the bulls and bears have less than a week to decide who will win out; since the downtrend is still in place, the bears will like prevail.
My observation about Fundamentalists and Technical Analysts is that all professionals never lose site of either, only emphasize one over the other. 5i wrote a few weeks back, that us Techies usually want to "market time" which he stated he does not believe in.
