Q: Hi I have held this stock for about three years so am up about 20%. I understand this type of company is often valued based on net asset valu or book value. . If that is the case it is very undervalued. Is this the case of a great company but just an ok stock? Should I continue to own(sector allocation is not an issue).and if not anything else in the sector you prefer?. Thank you. Bill
Q: Any comments on the latest acquisitions and valuation of MRC. I have held this for a very long time but the valuation always seems to lag the sector. Besides the fact that is very choppy and a thin trader. Your thoughts?
I would like to buy a stock that is cheaper than the value of the company. Do you have any that would fit that requirement. Would prefer one that has a dividend and is not a small cap.
Q: In your recent report on MRC you mentioned that it was trading at a premium valuation.Could you please give me the current NAV.
How are the assets of Temple Hotels valued in the NAV as well.
Thanks
Bob Rose
Q: What do you feel is the end game for MRC as a long term shareholder. Illiquid and buying back shares makes it even more illiquid, under valued by many measures. Do you feel they will be bought out or taken private at some point? Or they need the public markets for the subsidiaries.
MRC seems to be on a nice upward trend along with the other Reits. Is there any news here that would be driving these steady increases besides the sector other that the share buy backs.
Q: There's talk today that investors are starting to switch from growth investing to value investing. Can you give 5 names of small to mid cap Canadian companies that you would consider a value company to start my research.
