Q: Hi,

Any comments on INTER RENT REAL ESTATE (IIP.UN:TSX)? The fundamentals of the REIT show that the business is sound. Does the current price present a good entry point for long term holding (at least 2 years or longer)?

Q: Hi guys,

Sold my Big Rock and looking for something decent dividend and growth. I currently own RY, TD, BNS, CN, IPL.UN, AD, AP.UN, COS, AX.UN, BR,BNP, BEP, BIP, PEY, CSU, EIF, THI, KMP and CFN all about equal weight and a few others smaller ones that I hope to clean up over the year. I want something that pays a decent dividend, (I'm thinking 3% plus)

Q: Hello to all. My question regards the model portfolio. Could you break down the three main allocations (Stocks,Bonds,Cash %'s) and add any other sectors you would suggest. And also can you suggest a particular bond. Thanks for all your help.

Q: Do you prefer a five year corpoate bond ladder or a ten year corp. ladder ETF. It doesn't appear that interst rates are going to move for 16 months or so.

Q: Thank you for your response to my Nucor question, you made a very interesting point, that Nucor will generate $1.4 bb in cash flow this year. I get most of my information about companies through my bank and it didn't have this point. My information seems to be lacking, is there a site that you can suggest that provides better information than a bank?

Q: I was hoping that WEF would benefit from the general prosperity in the lumber and construction areas but it seems to be well and truly stuck at its present levels. Is the large controlling interst a problem? Do you think there will be further stock issues from this source? If so what would be your suggestion for investment in this sector without this overhang.

Q: Hi, I've been slowly building my portfolio and buying the stocks from your model portfolio. I've been replacing my current stocks that haven't been doing so well. In particular, Carfinco (CFN). I'm down about 17% and not sure if I should hang on or get rid of it. Is this worth hanging on to or should I replace it with a comparable from your portfolio or can you suggest something better? I'm down about $400 and wondering how long it will take to re-gain that amount or better.

I plan to sell a significant portion of my portfolio at this time, but I would prefer not to let my money languish as cash. I am considering the purchase of VSB.T as a holder for a few months. What do you think of this move? Is VSB a good place to stash it for a while?

Relating to the recent question by Michael on DR (Medical Facilities Corp) what concern would you put on changing government medical policies in the US? Some time ago I had looked at DR and discussed with an advisor who didn't like due to potential US regulatory changes.

Q: Can I please have your best recommendations for parking cash and still earning better than miserable bank term rates? Any specific ETF's that you would suggest for best preserving capital and still earning something? So far I have been reasonably happy with preferred share ETF HPR and the like - I do prefer to go to cash during bear markets or holidays and would rather pay fees and taxes than suffer drastic drops on investments. Thanks
