Q: VII.US/AVO
Are VII and AVO in direct competition? As per a quote from VII's statement, "highly regarded brands within the security industry allows us to bring a compelling and completely proprietary video solution to our customers”, does one have better security solutions or do they each have specialized niches? I would appreciate your opinion and if possible a brief evaluation/comparison of VII. I'm also considering owning both for a combined full position. Reasonable? Thank you.

Q: Hi Peter and Team,

I am currently an owner of American Tower (AMT.US). I bought this sub $60 based on people I know in the business who believe the demand for Tower Space will be strong over the next foreseeable future. There are a lot of naysayers out there on this company but I cannot find anything in their financials or results that would cause me concern. Am I missing something. I like both the growth and yield on this one.

Q: Hello Peter and 5i Team,
I have a general investment question regarding interest rates and how they affect the market sectors.
I have done done a significant amount of reading and some research on the topic ( not to mention office debates) but find conflicting information.
I know this is a complex topic but I'm sure some of the members would like to read your perspectives on the affects of increased interest rates on the market sectors such as the Financials and 'Life' insurances companies.

Q: Hi Peter and Team, I have recently heard a number of analysts/portfolio managers comment on Surge Energy as having an unsustainable model due to their strategy of acquiring assets past their prime , with high decline rates. The preferred model would be one such as Crescent Point Energy which owns assets where future production has more upside. Could I please have your thoughts.

Q: QHR Corp/Technologies
Hi Peter and Team,
QHR has been continually growing, just had great Q2 results, has had insider buying more than 200,000 shares in the past week (as shown in Can. Insider - marker tab)and stock is still declining and trading sideways for some time now. Stock should be continually going up, am I missing something? Would be great to get your opinion on the Q2 results, and you overall opinion of this company and perhaps why stock hasn't moved up.

Q: Hello 5i,
I’m looking to better my portfolio incrementally, in the financial sector, I have three companies which I like, Mercury General Corp (MCY), Oritani Financial Corp (ORIT) and Old Republic International Corp (ORI). I have cash to buy one of these companies and will sell Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Ltd (ANZBY) to buy the other. Does this make sense from a long term perspective? I was looking at the Beta of ANZBY and thought I could do without that.

Q: Hello 5i, I am a holder of Long Run LRE and with the merger of Crocotta would like to know if I am entitled to any warrants to buy shares of Leucrotta LXE at the strike price of 1.70 as I did not own any Crocotta before just long Run.

Q: CSS closed @ $15.25 up .08.Thomson Reuters ranked it a 10(the highest) with a target range of $16.30(high),$15.20(mean) & $14.60(low) by 7 analysts.Note $6 low on Oct 7/11 & up since then.Been telling my friends about the great risk/reward ratio since our P.Hodson's recommendation on 7/29.Will have to wait to see what unfolds soon especially if the price holds or continue to increases
