Q: (sorry, i was unable to enter thus question without entering a symbol)
Would you please comment on 3 things... 1 What industries in Canada other than airlines will most benefit over the next while by the drop in oil..2 same question for US market and 3 what foreign country etf ( eg,EWG? ) would most benefit by the drop in oil?

Q: Of all the A-B companies you cover, could you indicate one or two in each rating category (A, A-, B+, B) that you consider to be the best "bargains" at this point. By best bargain, I mean considering risk/reward profile, you look at the share price and say, "Wow, I can't believe that this stock is trading at that low price." (I'm guessing: (A: Stantec), (A-: BNS), (B+: GIL or BAD?), and (B: NAL or ACQ?) What say you? Others?

Also, if possible, of all companies at any rating level (A to B-) on your "watch list," could you indicate one or two similar bargain companies? Energy sector included.

I hold AVO and am down 45%, I also hold BDI and am down 58%. VET is down 26%, QST down 16% and PEY also down 16%.

I have a small capital gain this year. I'm thinking about unloading these (for sure AVO and BDI, not so sure on the others)and investing the proceeds into my S&P500 ETF VFV, to increase my US exposure and eliminate the dogs in my portfolio, also helping with my tax situation. What's your philosophy on selling the dogs and tax loss selling in general?

Q: I hold both SPB(in your income portfolio) and WCP(in your model portfolio). Do you still support both of these companies? Are their dividends secure? Is there any news regarding each of them or are their respective pullbacks just part of the energy collapse as of late. Would you suggest I continue to hold them? Q: I have 4.2% in SU, 3.43% in HSE and 2.6% in CVE, about $67,000 total. Right now they are underwater, SU 12.3% and HSE and VCE about 19.8%. Hold for the dividend? Or sell and invest in ? We do need dividend income as we have no private pension s.

Q: Peter I hold 15% in the energy space and I think I am reasonably diversified I hold BTE SGY and WCP my plan is to wait this out for as long as it takes. I response to a ? this morning you agreed with investor to lighten up on SGY .
Do you think I am out of line to wait this out .I find you comments and positive feedback invaluable in this current meltdown.I also have a 6% plus holding in IPL

I know the market is being affected by the drop of oil price and demand , but Intertain Group has dropped over 10 % today , do you think it is to market related on company related ?

This is sort of a follow up from another member's question today on MFR.UN and my questions from the past couple days on bond ETFs.

What is the better choice between HFR and MFR.UN? HFR doesn't appear as volitile but its yield is lower along with lower fees. My head tells me HFR is safer but I'm surprised by the high yield on MFR.UN.

the only "energy" related stock I have is Gibson(GIB) and I'm down 5% 5%. I would like to jump in on one of these since they have had a big downturn, Would Suncor or Halliburton be the best to buy at these discounted prices. I noticed that the Royal Back\MorningStar rated it a very strong buy.

What's you opinion SU with a 3.45% dividend or Halliburton with a 1.98% dividend

I don’t want to sound pushy......just wondering if you got it? In case you didn’t get it, I was asking for your opinion of the article. It actually feels like 2008 (as a member said today in a question he asked). Should we be worried/prepared? How do you think precious metals will perform if such a scenario will occur?
