Q: Good day gentlemen,
What do you think of new gold for all my gold exposure? Can you discuss the deposit (grades, cost overruns, sensitivety to gold price) that is to come on line this year. Would you be buyers?
Q: Hey guys! I have been watching New Gold for some time now, waiting to buy on a dip. With their bad news today, the stock is down 25%. Would you view this as a good entry point for a 3-5 year hold, or would you hold off until they turn things around?
Q: Hey team! What are your thoughts on New Gold? I believe their mine in Rainy River is scheduled to start production in 2017. Once this happens, to what degree (and in what timeframe) do you forsee this affecting their share price.
I am considering adding a new name to gold equities currently held (AEM, PG, RIC, DGC, YRI and OR).
What is your near term and long term outlook for NGD?
Aside from the names mentioned above, are there any other intermediate size North American focused gold stocks that you would prefer and would you please rate them in your order of preference.
And thanks for another informative and unbiased presentation of your ideas on Market Call!
Q: Gold seems to be getting a bit of support even with the strong USD which is encouraging compared to other commodities. With a low CAD$ and cheaper oil CDN producers should have an advantage and be able to increase cashflow. I have G but am looking at other low cash cost producers with mines in Canada. What are your thoughts on Detour, Richmont, and New Gold? Any other suggestions?
Q: Hi. I sold a full position in new gold at $6.80. I would like to reinvest in presious metals.
What is your oppinion on the risk reward of new gold and centeral fund of Canada at these levels? Or do you think there is a better choice?
Ken
Q: Hi,Peter,
My Question is on new gold NGD?
Specifically Their Cash Cost is $280. Too good to be true.
Going into more details i saw One of their mine New Afton Has negative Cash cost of ($1310).
Can you pls explain how its possible?
Q: Hi since the last time Rainy River (RR) was asked, I would like your opinion of how I should choose in being bought out. I bought it @ $10.78 and is being bought out @ $3.83 cash (~65% loss) or to receive 0.5 of a common share of New Gold. I actually do have New Gold and bought it @ $3.21 a long time ago = a huge gain. What would you do in this case scenario? Can the cash offer in this case be claimed as a tax loss? Or should I take option 2 and add more shares to NGD? I believe NGD is a great company still b/c it was like a merger of 3 great companies back in the old days and was talked about when I started listening to BNN! I don't think these types of questions have ever been asked and welcome your knowledge. Thanks.
Q: hello 5i:
I've held NGD (New Gold) for quite some time and have a very small loss. Wondering about your opinion going forward. Please also add your opinion on the seasonality issue with precious metals.
thanks
